I'm coming down with a cold. Everlasting runny nose, sore throat, head that feels like a pile of bricks, yeah....ugh. I'm just glad this weekend is also coincidentally the first weekend I don't have any plans really, so I can just stay home and sleep.

I think I'm probably that one uncle who shows up every once in a while, usually with mixed responses, and was around in ye olden days but faded into the shadows over time.

Let's see, finished Small Gods, read Adiamante by Modesitt, about half way through The Princess Bride, probably will get through about half of another book before Shadows of Self comes out, which'll be annoying, but such is life.

I couldn't find the old attack of the spambots thread, so I made a new one. But I kid you not, today's bots are freaky! They've adapted themselves to the site, they've created threads with Mistborn Movie Casting! as the title. They're changing their tactics to become more effective against us.

So I had another math test the other day, and as I finished early again, I started doing the physics for a person bowling. It went pretty well, except I accidentally made the bowling lane have such low friction that it basically was frictionless. Well today the desks were all jumbled up and the guy who sits next to me got my desk. He doesn't know it was I who did it, and it really kinda blew his mind that someone knew how and wanted to do all of that math. Well a girl who sits in front of us noticed that him freaking out and starts cracking up because she knows it was me. When he looked at her, I quickly gave her a hush sign and a wink and she just giggled her head off and didn't say anything. It was truly great. On so many levels.

I'm so psyched its finally announced!! Been waiting a long time for this one. I guess I like the cover. Alcatraz covers are so ridiculous in general, so I guess I like that Tor kept the theme but gave it more style.

You know it's funny, I remember liking her up until the white tower got reunited( That's not really a spoiler is it?), and after that.......I was really, really happy how her arc was wrapped up, I'll say it that way. A pet peeve of mine is when an author fills up the cast with characters that feel pretty human/decently developed anyway, but also incredibly annoying. I hated the Ender books past the 1st one because Card's characters drove me nuts! I would've been happy if they'd all died. I don't understand authors who fill books with characters who are sandpaper. Card is the worst I know, but the two Robin Hobb books I read were also bad. (Don't kill me, I know most people like them, the characters and pacing were painful for me though)

That moment when you finally get ahold of your friend, only to realize the nincampoomp hasn't asked a girl out for the double date this weekend I've been trying to plan. And you can't manage to find him a blind date because all the girls have band or something.

Well my other dream job is colonizing mars, you could always help out with that

Ohh, I understand now Yeah that would be frustrating, especially considering how much I love replaying Tales games. That would leave the majority of playtime without them...and yeah. Probably I'll treat them just like I did Regal. Only used them for healing between battles

But it looks so good! I loved Symphonia and it looks like they made the improvements in gameplay that I've always wanted.

I finally got my preorder for Tales of Zestria in on steam. Waiting this final month is gonna be killer, I'm really hyped about this game. If it gets enough preorders than a preorder bonus of Tales of Symphonia will come with Zestria. So yes, I'm shamelessly advertising for my own benefit right now.

The other night I had another Jurrasic park style dream. I get hunted by dinosaurs in my sleep a couple times a year, but it was kinda cool this last time because I actually won.

Well AnkMorpork is the largest and most advanced empire, stretching from Cairean to the coast of Saldea. I conquered a lot. Purchased friends. Huge culture and tourism. Nuked France twice. Struggling to keep my citizens happy. In short, I think lord Vetinari got deposed after the industrial era lol

Thanks xDI was pretty comfortable the whole time. I got them laughing and engaged pretty quickly and that always makes interviews easier. I only struggled with a few questions, and I just stopped, thought about it, and gave the best answer I had and I think they liked that.

Native English, took two years of Japanese which taught me one syllabary and a smattering of vocab I've forgotten, and a lot of Japanese culture. Im applying for an immersion program next summer to learn either Hindi Turkish or Farsi.
