Ladashwy realized that they had been gone all night. "Um, should we go back to the inn?" She, for some odd reason, didn't feel tired. She did, however, feel hungry.

Among other reasons. Some he wants to question, some he wants to recruit, and some he wants dead. Depends on why they’re there.

Kelsier nodded. “I’ll drop you off nearby. I’m going to try and avoid Marie for now. She wants space to make her decision, so I’ll respect that.”

He grinned at Sage, catching her in his arms. “Hang on,” he warned, and launched them into the morning sky.

Sorry, but Kelsier doesn’t ask permission... He just does what he wants.

Ladashwy felt her stomach lurch. WHAT THE RUSTS?!?! I hope I don't throw up. It also would have been nice to have had a little bit more warning. This is... Wow. That view. It is amazing. Ladashwy watched wide eyed.

If that were me, I'd probably vomit as soon as my feet got back on the ground. :P

Kelsier grinned at her. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Even 300 years later... it still doesn’t feel real some times.”

He pushed against the ground, arcing upward and forward, cradling the woman in his arms. They reached the peak of the parabola and he let them free fall, arcing downward. There was something wonderfully liberating about giving yourself up to air and gravity, if only for a moment.

Then he pushed against the metals in the ground again, gently slowing them.

Ladashwy tried to scream as they fell, but the scream didn't come out correctly. It came out as a gasp instead. AHHHHHH! Too high! Too high! AHHHHH! She was screaming internally. And then they slowed down. That was both amazing, and terrifying.

Kelsier laughed. “I’m not going to let us fall, Sage. I do actually know what I’m doing; I’ve had centuries to practice, after all.” He kept the rest of their flight smooth and even anyway, dropping her off a block away from the inn.

“Tell Ganache to meet me at the church,” he ordered Sage as they landed.

She nodded. "Okay. I will do that." She said after a moment. She walked over to the inn, and opened the door.

Yeah, he had not understood it. "I was actually talking about the talking ball of light literally named "wit" who is with the Sovereign... I should stop making puns before breakfeast."

"Huh. I guess I'm not quite as crazy as I thought." What did I expect? Of course they have a talking sphere of light. Good I wasn't hallucinating though.

Good call, because Marie may or may not have cared enough to do it herself :P

This has also made me realize that Marie doesn't ask for consent before murdering people, but she does for most everything else...

Marie was already inside the inn, popping upstairs before anyone in the main rooms could notice her eyespikes. She halted, seeing the group clustered there, then glared at them all and childishly sat at the halfway point of the stairway.

Now I'm trying to imagine what someone with eyespikes would look like glaring. It's a little difficult.

”Come, child,” she called, turning to head back down the stair. “Also Drae.”

"Ooh, breakfast! Coming!"

Ladashwy walked into the inn, and walked to the stairs. She still felt a bit frazzled from the whole shooting through the sky thing. She stopped when she got to the stairs and noticed everyone there.

Marie's face melted into a long, slow smile at this. "Didn't sleep so well, did you? And that's without me nearby. Were you imagining how you'd fare against me? We could find out, have a little spar. I'd take it slow." She smirked. "So you could keep up, of course."

Adilie fully stored her connection to Marie, as her fear was linked to her it disappeared. Talking with her in that state would have been really awkward so she just followed Ladashwi into the dinning room

Kelsier may act like an idiot, but he really isn’t one. He does know when to hedge his bets.

Marie strolled down the stairs after them, stretching. She was a little surprised Adilie hadn't already hit her with the duralumin. "I didn't count heads. And am I not being nice? I think I am, personally."
