"I know a shortcut," responded Capodota. "Over the rooftops. Follow me."

He vaulted up the staircase onto the roof and dashed off.

Man, I love being the wounded character and watch people try to save mine even though she has been through things like this before and this is probably one of the tamest things she's ever been through.

Well, they are mordite-inflicted wounds. And there were quite a lot of them.

Ellis followed without question.

After a minute or so of rooftop-hopping, the group arrived at the destination.

"Here we are," said Capodota, opening the door.

Melody ran inside. "What do you need?"

Again, probably one of the most tamest things that Q's ever been through. But I see your point and I'll just wait, maybe throw in the occasional rambling if I feel like it.

Capodota dashed down a set of stairs into the basement. There were sounds of rummaging around, then an 'aha!'

He came back up with a jar of glowing green liquid, a few feet of tubing, and some bandages.

"Here," he said. "Start wrapping up these cuts."

Ellis placed her carefully on the table, then rabbed some bandages and started binding the wounds.

"Okay!"

Wait, did we bring Q with us?

I will neither confirm nor deny that she has died before. I will say that yes, she has been on the brink of death multiple times in her life, probably more than ten or fifteen times if we want a specific number.

I mean, she's close to death now, so... :P

Capodota hooked up Q and began pumping the green liquid into her bloodstream.

"What is that?"

"Animation fluid," said Capodota. "Not as good as blood, but it'll do the trick until her body can replenish her supply."

Oh, no really? I thought that she would like to take a nice little nap as she continues to bleed herself out.

"So it's like fake blood?"

"In a way," replied Capodota. "It helps with animation, too, if you use it something non-living."

Does she never do anything tamer than push herself to death's door? :P

"So she'll live? With that... green stuff in her?"

"Yes. Don't worry- the body will purge it eventually, as it replaces it with blood. At worst she'll find her thoughts a bit fuzzy for a week or so."

Well, it's in her job description. Plus, as you have seen before, she has a duty right now to protect this ragtag group of adventurers. This often requires putting yourself right on death's doorstep, but it's also something that she is familiar with.
