Why yes, yes she does. Does she care? Not really. She has people to protect and she would rather die than to live in shame, like what she is already doing. : /

Q smirked slightly. She let out a breath, then looked back up. Her eyes had turned to a pure black as she moved with inhuman speed. Maybe one or two blades actually nicked and perhaps created large gashes in her arms, but she didn't look like she cared. A calm expression had replaced her smirk. Her eyes continued to bleed black smoke as she carefully watched Y.

"Is that all you got?" she asked, blood streaming down her arms. "I'll take all your hits."

Y smiled, her eyes hard. "I'll suppose I'll get the pleasure killing you after all."

More blades slice towards Q.

They arrived at the foot of the tower with their hearty masterbuilder crew.

"Up we go, then?"

"Yes, quickly!"

Q grunted, taking the hits while trying to deflect the blades away from her. The smoke dissipated from her eyes, leaving them back her normal color but with determination in them this time. She kept herself grounded as she kept deflecting more blades, all the while more slashing her. She didn't say a word or scream in pain, instead she bore it with calmness. Blood ran down her arms as Q gritted her teeth.

"Suppose... suppose she will," Q uttered under her breath in the softest whisper. She looked back up at Y and grinned, taunting her to give Q her best shot.

"I... hate... running... up... stairs..." Between every word was a deep gulp of air.

"That's all right, just keep going!"

"We're up!" Ellis pulled open the door. "In, in, in!"

Melody ran through the door and onto the roof, where she saw Q, Gerald, a dead little boy, and another random woman who was fighting Q.

Ellis unsheathed his own sword, then ran at the person attacking Q, swinging his blade in a wide arc.

Q waved her hand, and a force pushed Ellis back, away from the flying blades. She seemed to ignore the others; in fact, she didn't even seem to notice them. Her eyes turned back to the pitch black, the smoke practically pouring from the corners of her eyes. As Q deflected more and more blades, she yelled. "Have it your way!!" she screamed, her voice a bit distorted, as if it were someone else trying to speak through her voice.

Falling into a more aggressive stance, Q dashed towards Y with inhuman speed, not even caring if the blades sliced her arms. She was gliding on the floor, with the grace of an experienced dancer as she wove her way to her opponent. A thick trail of blood followed at her wake, but she didn't care. She was beyond the point of caring for her own well-being at the moment. Through the pitch black eyes, anyone could see the determination as well as the anger that showed through. No, it wasn't anger; it was fury.

As Q reached Y, she thrust her blade into the young woman.

"Hey!" Ellis pulled himself back to his feet. "Q, what are you doing?"

It took Y a second to realize what Q was doing, and by that point it was almost too late. Y stepped back, reaching for the winds to dodge away from the strike.

Almost she was too slow. In slow motion she felt the tip of Q's blade slash her torso. But blood loss had gotten the better of Q's speed, and Y was just fast enough to avoid being injured any further.

With a growl of anger, she shoved the winds against Q, throwing her backwards across the roof.

With a growl of anger, she shoved the winds against Q, throwing her backwards across the roof.

"You little Ko'ad forsaken––" her voice was trailed off in the high wind before she could finish the curse.

As Q fell, she reached out and black energy coated her hand when she slammed it into the roof. She slowed to a stop and looked up, the fury gone down to a smolder in her pitch black eyes. Q rose and glared at the young woman for a second, then she smirked. Blade at her side, she dashed again to meet with Y, then swung her silvery blade in a high arc, missing Y; almost like it was on purpose.

But before Y could do anything and Q collapse from the blood loss, her black knife flashed in Q's hand as she stabbed it cleanly in Y's left side. No emotion showed in her eyes as she did so; in fact, the fury was gone and she almost looked like a blank slate.

Y grunted. Q was getting dangerously bold, acting without any type of self-preservation whatsoever. That would, unfortunately, make it tricky to dispatch her.

Don't lose sight of the goal, Y, she thought.  This isn't worth a serious injury.

So as Q stood up with death in her eyes, Y made a quick decision. She made a feint towards Q, then dodged sideways towards Gerald. She ripped the amulet out of his hands and fell off the roof.
