BOOM, random appearance with little to no context.

A man came running into view of the group, as soon as he saw them he started to run towards them. The man wore a cheap suit and carried a small briefcase, his hair was greased back and his face was covered in sweat as he ran towards the group. As he neared, he started to slow down while trying to catch his breath.

The man gasped while he tried to collect himself, he then straightened up and nodded towards Melody.

"Hello and good day madam, I'm hear from the A-C-A-P in response to the prophecy that you just came into possession of."

"The A-C-A-P? And what prophecy? We're not part of any prophecy."

The man furrowed his brow, looking quite concerned.

"Are you not . . . oh I hate my job sometimes. How do I put this? Do any of you wield the uh . . . shoot, I can't say that. Are any of you the . . . dang, can't say that either. Do any of you have some sort of mystical sword? Also, I was notified of some sort of squid being involved in this group."

"Gerald's a squid, but he wasn't previously. I got a sword from this knight guy, it might be mystical."

"Yes, so this must be the right group, as I said, I'm from the HR department of A-C-A-P and I was assigned to speak with you folk as a group about some complaints we've been receiving. I'll need you to sign these forms notifying that you did indeed receive my visit."

The man opened up his briefcase and pulled out a small piece of wood that when he placed it in front of him, it grew legs and became a small table. The man then placed a number of papers on the small table along with several pens.

"Oh no, not this again," Q muttered to herself. She watched the man carefully, her finger tapping against her arm.

"Ma'am- oh the dossier said you were going by a different name this time, some sort of letter. Well, I'll need you to sign an additional form if you wish to take part in this group, I'm sure you're familiar with this system. Although I must say, I didn't think I'd ever get to work with you."

Q rolled her eyes, but nodded. "Yes, yes." She snatched the pen and signed the papers. "I'm not famous or anything," she said quietly, finishing the signatures then offered the pen back to the man.

"Of course not ma'am, but things do get unusual when you have to be visited more than once."

"Forms? Why? And what does A-C-A-P stand for? Wait, complaints?"

"There's an HR for quests and prophecies?"

The man chuckles in amusement. "Of course, we have to have an order to everything."

"As I said, there's gotta be an order to everything. So these NRA-103 forms need to be filled so that we don't accidentally send another guy to talk with you. We just get complaints from time to time, they don't normally mean much, but I'm from the APAC, or the Agency for the Control and Appropriation of Prophecies. Quick question before we get this ball rolling, is this your first dealing with a prophecy?"

The man whips out another form and a pen from one of his many suit pockets.

Q rolled her eyes. "Of course there's an HR for quests and prophecies. How else would any of the quests that you hear about be published? After a while, you'll get used to them coming to you."

"Typically, we only meet with a person once as they start their quest or hear their first prophecy, think of it as a form of orientation. I'm not sure why you guys are just finding out about this, might've been some sort of clerical error, I'll check with Ralph. But I'm a follow-up official, not an orientation guy, so that means that something needs to be taken care of."

"I... believe so. There wouldn't happen to be anyone named Ellis in your records? Possibly categorized under 'Dark Lord?' I've kinda lost my memory, so I might've encountered other prophecies before... but I don't remember anything."

"Oh, only for favored bards and those gods who love a good epic. Now, I'm not the guy you want to talk with about going through our records; that would be Clinici, she knows those records better than her own grandchildren. Would you care to sign the papers so that we quickly address the reason that I came here."

"Yeah, sure..." Ellis signed the papers. "So is the ACAP a government official organization, or a private industry?"

The man thought about this for a second before nodding, "I guess you could say that we're government. Now, I did want to address some of the complaints we've been receiving, let me see here." The man started rifling through his briefcase. 'Ah yes, here we are. We have received a few complaints concerning the method of which you've received the prophecy, so I wanted to double check that those who are complaining have their sources right." The man began to squint at a piece of paper. "Did you receive your prophecy from a talking frog with wings?"

"Not even close. Some puppetmaster magician guy just tossed a scroll at us."

"Puppetmaster magician guy? We got two complaints involving him, so I'll need to talk with him. Seems like the rest about where you got the prophecy from are all trolls again." The man started to write on papers as he systematically took them out of the briefcase and then replaced them again. "Next, we have a few complaints about the party dynamic being not up to standards as established by ratings, what are you feelings about that?"
