Kacen stared at the children with weapons, look of concentration falling of his face, like a greased squirrel off a pine tree. (who says David is the only one who gets to make bad metaphors?) "I gotta get myself some of those." 

Then smirked at the members of the group around him. "You have honestly no idea what you are up against, do you? You think that you can stop me?"

Three foot long spikes began falling from the sky around him, churning up the earth to either side of him". 

When the rain of metal ended he flew free of the earth around him. "All right Venten, you and your friends have thirty seconds to start spouting exposition, or I will kill you all."

He hesitated. "Except those who are under eighteen, because child murder isn't cool."

Akii roamed around Elendel, looking at the resturaunt in front of her. Suddenly, she heard something. Her head turned toward the noise, looking at a bunch of armed children about her age, maybe a little younger. what the? Akii walks over in curiosity, pausing filling her metal minds. If no one knew she was a feruchemist she could get away with filling them almost all the time and going slightly slower than normal. "What the heck is going on here? Who armed the children?" She pauses, "Whoever did so, thank you good sir." Armed children was always awesome. At eleven years and four months, she was considered a child by most people, and was almost always armed.

Replay fretted quietly in the corner. This doesn’t look like Earth...

Radriarc had had enough of this standing around and talking, nothing was happening! He decided to take action. 
He ran. He ran as fast as he could down the street, uncaring of the danger behind him, uncaring of anything at all. Suddenly it all came crashing down on him. The stress of the past few days caused something inside him to snap.

What   am   I   DOING?!? These past few days have been utterly ridiculous!!! Me, in danger. Me, being hunted by shady organizations. Me, breaking and entering. Me, finding people from entirely different fracking UNIVERSES!!! NONE OF THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! I’m putting everything on the line just by being here!!! I’m was putting things on the line that I have no right to. I’m risking others, others that matter a lot more than me, just by being on this planet. And now I’m getting mixed up in conflicts that span the whole Cosmere? Even beyond the Cosmere?!? It’s just impossible! It’s madness! It’s surreal! Thats it! This has to be some sort of dream, it has to! Wake up, wake up wake up wakeupwakeupwakeupwakeup! 

But he would not wake up. And so he ran. He ran, and he screamed. He ran until he couldn’t see anyone in the group anymore. He couldn’t see those strange children with weapons, the little girl from another universe, the man who invented weapons that could destroy entire civilizations, the figure in red who had always subtly reminded Radriarc of fillet, he ran until they were all out of view.
He couldn’t tell if the man, Kacen, was chasing him or firing those spikes at him, but it didn’t matter. He was aware in the back of his mind that this wasn’t right. Even for him, this was unnatural. He didn’t try to stop. He ran and ran and ran, reaching the other side of Elendel completely. His legs gave out, and he collapsed against a wall. His face felt wet. His throat felt raw. He couldn’t seem to feel his legs whatsoever. 
After lying against the wall for an unknown amount of time, Radriarc had a brief moment of lucidity. Well that was bad timing, he thought, before passing out into a deep state of unconsciousness.

Akii tapped steel, running as fast as she could with a aluminum knife I her hand. She did not want the armed children dying, that was just bad ethics. She let go of the knife at the last second, letting it fly towards the person who was giving death threats. Even if they didn't kill the children, she didn't want the people on the armed children's side dying. It was still bad ethics.

The metal spikes flew up, forming a wall in front of him. The knife clattered to the ground, and the metal spikes fell away. Kacen bent down and picked up the knife, then turned to look at Akii. "Wow, you can throw a knife. Your parents must be so proud." He stared at the knife. 

Then stabbed himself in the stomach.

"Does this work for you?"

"My parents are dead." Any amount of mirth from her voice was gone. Her eyes where cold, with almost no emotion. "And you will be too." Akii hadn't wanted to truly kill the man, but her mother was a topic she didn't like. She used one of the powers she had that she'd never used, after her mothers warning. She let the chi from her body control the earth below the man, turning it into liquid sand. the earth hardened back into road, sinking the man into the ground. Then she threw another knife.

The knife hit him in the left shoulder, and he pointedly ignored it. 

"Wow," he turned to Miera, "you guys are really unoriginal." 

The spikes that had fallen down earlier floated up, and began repeatedly slamming the ground, freeing him from the earth. He floated up, and stayed there. Hovering in the air.

As if remembering something, Kacen looked down at the knives in his shoulder, and stomach. The knives fell out, and the only trace they left were tears in his clothing.
