Vespyr stepped forward and swiped their foot along the sand. The wind blasted Lloyd again at full force. This time, something was different. A wave rose from the water, splitting into three tendrils. The tendrils changed... sharpening... Lloyd would be split into multiple pieces if he didn’t act fast.

But this sight of her bloody form and her having addressed Cadenza by name made Maddy hesitate. And... she really was just a girl. So Maddy stood there, watching. That's good; you should be." Maddy narrowed her eyes. She was getting over her initial shock of seeing Trace appear as she did. When Cadenza froze Trace, Maddy tensed up.
