Christensen didn't really get good until III I think. McGregor was amazing, obviously. I think Palpatine's actor was good all the way through although again, better in III.

My list, from worst to best:

  • Attack of the Clones (*Puke noises* -7/11)
  • Rise of Skywalker (YOU CAN'T JUST SAY PALPATINE'S BACK IN THE OPENING CRAWL AND EXPECT US TO ACCEPT IT!!!)
  • Phantom Menace (They could've extended the Maul fight scene and removed half of podracing, but no, they didn't)
  • Revenge of the Sith (AnAKIn yOu'RE bReAkinG mY HEaRT)
  • Force Awakens (I thought it was... okay)
  • Solo (I enjoyed it, but nothing more)
  • The Last Jedi (I actually really liked this one, and for a lot of complicated and unconventional reasons)
  • A New Hope (I wanted to put it higher but I like the other two OGs better)
  • The Empire Strikes Back (No... am your father)
  • Return of the Jedi (Oooh, character arc completion!)
  • Rogue One (ROGUE ONEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I pretty much agree with that whole list except Revenge needs to be higher :)

tbh didn't factor in Rogue One to my list. It's the best film out of all of them but it isn't main series.

Best to worst, and you can fight me @Channelknight Fadran:D

  1. Attack of the clones(interchangeable with no.2) It's got so many good fights
  2. Revenge of the Sith, what's not to love
  3. Return of the jedi, the best OG, by far
  4. The Phantom Menace, it has Jar Jar, what more to say
  5. The Empire Strikes back, I'd put it lower but it has the fight at the end
  6. A New Hope, your lightsabers are just hitting each other in the same way, over and over and over again, give me movement

There are no other movies.

Consider the fight...

Begun.

I summon Obi Wan Kenobi to be my champion!

Frustration likes action scenes I see.

Ok, here's my breakdown of if Star Wars was made in a perfect world

They should do a remake of the OGs with modern special effects

They should do a remake of the prequels and hire someone who can actually write dialogue

They should redo the sequels and just have a storming plan from the beginning.

You know, I like where this is going.

Agree!

As much as I love the OG effects (lol the cut-scenes between lightsabers being on or off), having some epic sound and visual effects would be awesome.

I also think they should get someone who can write stories and design characters for the prequels, but yeah.

Agree the most! When I say I love The Last Jedi, I mean as a standalone movie; as a part of a series, it makes no sense whatsoever, because the series itself makes no sense whatsoever.

Me too! I love Last Jedi but it had no creative direction and was really just glossed over (like I do with Canto Bite but whatever). I think it's sad they kept shunting Finn out of the spotlight especially

At this point we need a Star Wars thread. Is there a Star Wars thread? Edit: No, we do not have a Star Wars thread.

Ok I know there is now a dedicated thread but I had to finish these ideas while they were here

So you mean we should make an even bigger Death Star next time around... right?

I think I gotta respectfully state my opinion that is different than your own challenge you on this... From worst to best:

The Last Jedi

Attack of the Clones

Rise of Skywalker

Phantom Menace

Revenge of the Sith*

Return of the Jedi

Force Awakens

A New Hope

The Empire Strikes Back (Yoda scene with the x-wing takes the cake for the entire Star Wars series)

Rogue One

*Solo is about where Revenge of the Sith is, but I’m not totally for sure

YES!! The first time I saw it I was like WOAH, this woulda been epic.

Honestly tho it's half the effects but also half the advanced lightsaber movement. The OG trilogy lightsaber action seemed really just a melancholy hit on one side hit on the other side type of stuff it felt like they coulda done a lot more with it. The more advanced and action packed dueling scene here really makes it more interesting!

lol @Truthless of Shinovar it was all in strikethrough for a sec and I was like wait a minute... rip mobile

My opinion is that Solo is the only good Star Wars movie. Rogue One is decent. The originals are good stories with poor-to-meh acting. The sequels are poor concepts generally, or good concepts poorly executed, with decent-to-good acting. The prequels are just utter garbage.

There's certainly truth in here. I will never let go of Rogue One being the best movie, but as long as no one outright hates the thing, I'll usually respect their opinion. My thoughts on Solo aren't to be trusted, because I've only seen it once. The originals had some pretty good acting, I think, but I agree that a majority of the actors were pretty meh. Sequels had pretty good acting, but they completely butchered the series with Rise of Skywalker (you can't end a saga like that with Rey and BB-8!!! You need an icon! Not a Mary Sue and a sphero sponsorship)!

Prequels are, of course, garbage.
