"Right now," a man said and burst into the room. He came with a group of inquisitors, who looked ready to fight. "We heard you were planning to sneak into Kredik Shaw. We're here to stop that."

The inquisitors fan out. "Let's just say you got a little too close to some of the lords," the man said. Grace stands up, downing a bottle of zinc.

Jack stops. "What are you doing here, Sel?"

Halax downs a vial of steel mixed with hot chocolate (the texture is quite nice, actually), and quietly prepares a few coins, tucking them between his fingers.

"Lady Cett, I'm surprised you're with these people. I thought your father taught you better. Lord Tellen, I'm less surprised about." Jack says.

[Wind he/him]

"I went back to Nalthis to get some more breath, took me a while to get back here. I heard that the Lord ruler had gone missing and I've assembled a team to help me find him. A few might be criminals but I need every one of them." Sel said as if he was a good friend of the inquisitor.

"This doesn't have to get anyone hurt, guys. I hope you don't mind if I soothe everyone just a bit."

He hides a Wanted poster of himself.

Jack folds his arms. "Some of these criminals have been associating with those who are the cause of the Lord Ruler's disappearance. And some of these criminals have broken way too many windows. Do you know how much those cost?" He stares at Halax. "You seem familiar."

"Well, you don't." Halax replies, pushing a coin ever so slightly forward between two of his fingers with his thumb. "I don't think we've ever met before?"

"I feel like I've seen you somewhere..." He snaps his fingers. "You're on a wanted poster."

"Well I'm using some of them for ransom" Sel whispers in Jack's ear.
