"Different how?"

"I..." Vapor sighed. "All right. What do you want from me in return?"

"How...?"

"I started when someone mentioned an aluminum box. Or if it's the materials you're talking about, I just have tons of tons of kinds of stuff. Including a Soulcaster."

1 minute ago, Spren of Kindness said:

"Will it move?"  He holds up a hand.  "It has wheels, but how is it going to use them?"

"I forgot to include that." He got back to work.

Martin watches the goings-on with detached interest.  "So we can - theoretically - break through the dome with Enter's box, and then what?"

"Hopefully, not die."

"There's a hill in the way." Ayia replied simply.

"Ah," said Ashley. "Have you determined the size or extent of the tower?"

"Follow my direction. There is much that you can learn to defend yourself... and many dangers you may face along the way. I can help with both."

Vapor looked down. "Who are you?"

Right, I don't have much time to read what happened, very sorry. Can I have a brief summary?

"No we have not."

They stumbled upon an invisible barrier surrounding one of Wyrn's fortresses. Ayia got shot, she explained magic well enough to make Fadran proud, and now we're trying to figure out how best to enter with Enter's new aluminum tank.

She was rummaging through her bag, which had an eclectic mix of stuff, until she found it. Her soulcaster. "Aha! I found it! Problem solved." She raised it up into the air. "So, what do you need to be aluminumified?"

I suppose I should go read then, shouldn't I?

Right, done reading...

N'Fehn shook from his weird trance. It should have been way past the abyssal period right now, but looking up, it was still light. "So, I have a few things... How long is a day here? As in, how long does it take from one abyssal period to the next?, and I think I might be able to make the 'aluminum' box move"

"The... what? Abyssal what now?"

"Do you mean nights?"  He's heard weirder slang from river walkers.  "Seems about Earth standard."

"The abyssal period. You know, the heartbeat of Ashimeer... ah. That's my problem. I am not on Ashimeer anymore.

"Well... no." N'Fehn frowns. "So, I don't exactly know if I have time to explain in detail right now, but Ashimeer, my planet, is dying. It is too close to the sun and is slowly getting closer. Every night, the abyssal period occurs. All light is drawn from around the world and heat becomes cold. This is like a bucket of cold water being dumped on the planet and giving it enough power to last just a little bit longer."

"Oh.  Well, as far as I can tell, there aren't abyssal periods here."

Quick question: Is this still strictly og members only? Cause ST isn’t exactly moving and I want more FotT :P

I don’t really care if it’s full/busy whatnot but if I can hop in I’d like to. I’d probably create a new character other than my Sleepless because he’s... not that interesting to RP.

"Yeah, we don't have those here."

Yay, thanks!

Alright, character:

Spoiler

Name: Craven

Age: 8   Height: 4' 7"

Powers: None (yet- he may manifest some later)

Personality: Craven is very quiet, but comfortable around friends. He can be pretty brilliant if he puts his mind to it, but his brain hasn't yet developed fully as he still is a child. Craven is prone to sudden fits of emotion, usually immense sadness. In extreme situations, he can put his life on the line in an attempt to prove his name wrong- a name of a word that means cowardly, a name that he hates. Craven is anything but easygoing, but again, he's not even had a decade to live.

Backstory: He doesn't know. Craven was too young to remember what happened in his past, but he is half convinced he doesn't have parents at all. His fits of emotion are related to his history but he doesn't know why.

A TL;DR of some form would be appreciated, but not at all required. Like, there's 427 pages. If not a summary of what's going on, a brief overview of the other characters would be nice :P

I can jump in whenever, so wherever is convenient works. Just tag me.

I can do those things :P

...One question.... what planet is the warcamp on?

Craven walked.

And walked some more. Walking was all there was. The rhythmic drumming of the slow thump... thump... thump... of his feet falling on the ground. It had been that way for how long? Too long. Craven knew he shouldn't be alive. He didn't know much, but he did know that. What eight-year-old survived those years on their own?

He did. Because he was brave, he was not a coward. Cowards didn't walk when their legs hurt.

Oh, how they hurt.

Craven pushed forward even still. Where, he didn't know, but it had to be better then the exact spot he was. Anything would be.

Five minutes passed.... ten........ thirty...... an hour, day, year..... Craven didn't know. But eventually the surroundings changed. He looked up and saw a camp of some sort ahead. Craven had seen warcamps before, and had always gone out of his way to avoid them. But those had been crawling with loud people that didn't look very nice.

This one was... different somehow.

Better.

But it was still a warcamp.

But cowards didn't back down from an opportunity. Those other camps weren't opportunities.

Craven kept going. He entered the camp, and looked around for signs of people. Did he want to find people? He didn't know.

He never did.
