I am resting in comfort. The pain is a bad dream. Somewhere my memories flow. What Fox and I discussed flows by as a calm river. In the distance the harm that Fox did to me hides in shadow.

Mita calls forth a bejeweled gold coin from the air. He flips it toward James. "I have opened our defenses enough to allow you two to speak and no more."

"Oh, that won't be necessary," said James, taking the coin and inspecting both sides. "Let's see..." he muttered. "This side's heads, this one's tails."

Mita stands aloof sealing again the gates to the realm. Any potential breach gains a legion of guards. Mita conjures thrones for himself, Patch, and Vapor. He sits and motions for them to do the same.

Fox eyed the throne, making a split decision to go for it. Either she was all in, or not at all. Fox allowed herself to collapse into the chair, though she kept the knife close at bay. Perhaps she should have tried to be a bit more... elegant in the way she sat, to mirror the one she was with. Too late for that. Who cared anyways at that point. "What did you say your name was again?"

Seriously, this will probably take some time. If we start moving, Queen probably won't be able to walk on her own. She is semi-aware, but can't really process what she sees and experiences. I've been really busy lately, so in order to write something really nice, it won't happen until at least tomorrow, so she'll be in Nath's mind searching for now.

If Queen had been fully conscious, she would have given Fadran a flat stare. As it was, she managed to get a sentence out in explanation. "In a way, I gave him my emotions, as though there's an overlap between our minds and feelings. If that doesn't constitute a direct connection, I don't know what does."
