Gears Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Dr. Gears continued forwards. The water was incredibly still, and he could see the chest still sinking. The chest was getting soaked through! How would he study the wood now? 1

Fadran stepped onto the shore, then Forged a connection with the water. He closed his eyes in intense concentration, then pushed back the water around the chest and Dr. Gears. Sweat beaded his brow as he held back such a weight.

The second Gears was out of the depths, all of Fadran's connections broke out, and he collapsed onto the sand. "I... win."

Gears Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Seeing that the opponent was distracted, Dr. Gears grabbed his sword and waved it in the Pattern of Transportation. Reality tore, and he stepped through the portal.

Perhaps you've forgotten, but Gearguy here--" he realizes that Dr. Gears has left, then continues, "Gearguy wherever he is stepped out of the Battle Ring that he drew, which is spirit-warrior-guy talk for 'I forfeit'." Since that first guy with the stick and he have both retreated, then I believe that I have won this battle."

"I kinda wish that that doctor guy could've been here... eh, in any case, let's crack this thing open!" He unlatches the chest and finds...
