I believe two of them were poke votes, but if I remember correctly Araris had a reason for doing it. I don't actually remember what it was. @Araris Valerian?

There was a poke vote to try to get them to talk, then Araris made it more forceful (which is NAI for him). Then, mist responded to talk about something random, and reading was like 'they didn't respond to the votes on them! How sus!' because they didn't realize the votes on them were because they weren't posting, so by posting they WERE addressing the votes.

I haven't played much sorry.

It's fine. Once I explained to you what had happened, you adjusted your actions accordingly, not clinging to them like I know some people can do with their reads. That's the part that actually matters.

If anyone doesn't have a vote count, I guess I'll go through the last pages to put one together. I may not respond for the next 20 minutes because I'm going through the last 17 pages for votes.

LOL.

I think someone has a vote count from just a bit ago @Experience. I would advise starting there, than accounting for any votes after that.

EDIT: Flame On!

It's fine. I would like to keep a record anyway. Also, I'm guessing you edit Flame On! every time your post is the first in a page?

IKR? If only people would start the RP back up. I just realized I got sidetracked on getting the vote count. I'll go do that right now.

So many posts already, many accomplishing very little. I've been reading through the thread, but very little has stuck. I'd assume you do get money separately for day and night, for a total of 11 boxings in a cycle just for one post, one PM, and a vote per turn. Otherwise nobody would actually get any items for a long time.

There are some sort of secret rules, likely giving the Kandra some chance of winning, but no compounding.

Wow you guys are really posting up a storm here.

At least it should mean I have some basis for D1 analysis, for once. Or at least I would, if I could sift through myriad short posts before rollover :P Maybe it'll end up being D2 analysis after all.

@Kynedath not guilty, you say? Hrm, I see. Most interesting. Very well, your case has been deferred.

Ashbringer (@Ashbringer), how do you plea?

With this sheer volume of posts, I think it'd make life easier if I busted out my vote tally script and put it in action:

Vote Tally
Coda (2): Experience, Magestar
Araris Valerian (1): Karnage
Ashbringer (1): DrakeMarshall
Experience (1): Araris Valerian
Lord_Silberfarben (1): Lahilt
Matrim's_Dice (1): The_God_King
Emi (1): Ventyl
Mist (1): Shard of Reading
Magestar (1): TJ Shade

Now that I've done the pre-work of creating new regex patterns for all the new players, it only takes a few seconds to create vote tallies. So feel free to ask me for one whenever you feel like (yes, I am indeed shamelessly providing a useful service to the village for entirely selfish reasons of earning more boxings :P).

Also, who is down for making a gigantic tie?

TGK (1) Elkanah

Emi (1) Ventyl

Joe (1) Coda

Ashbringer (1) Drakemarshall

Experience (1) Araris

Matrim (1) TGK

Elandera (1) Lahilt

Oh, and there's drake changing his vote. Also,  @DrakeMarshall, you missed the vote on TGK by elkanah I think.(It's on page 1)

EDIT:

Also, @Lahilt, you might want to change your vote on Silber, because they are now elandera.

I guess I'll change my vote from Experience to Coda. I don't think having a massive tie is going to be helpful, since we'd likely just be letting the elims choose who dies.

Oh huh. Did I mess up TGK's pattern?

Yep, you're right, thanks. Fixed it.

I also was somehow missing Joe's pattern, which doesn't technically matter since he's not actually playing this game but I fixed that as well anyway.

You missed Lahilt voting for Silberfarben.

One of these posts I'm going to do more RP. I really like that this game has had lots of RP. I prefer to separate my RP and analysis posts though. Makes less of a time commitment for posting so I am more motivated to make more posts.

This game has a lot of cool-looking moving parts and potentially unconventional synergies. I am interested in figuring out the different pieces in play and how they are distributed. If you want to swap information or plan something or whatever, and you don't mind the fact that I tend to use my PMs to fish for information, feel free to PM me.

I didn't miss it, I just changed it to Elandera, because they replaced Silber. @StrikerEZ, does that vote still happen on Elandera, or was it negated when they replaced silber?

Okay, after I’ve read Xino’s post about Coda, I get a more elim read from him. My vote on Emi was only to get them active and now that they are I might as well do something more useful with it.

So I’ve decided to do an analysis of all of his post. I’ll give my gut reading of each one (Can’t quote each individual one because I’m on my IPAD)

1st Analysis: NAI, just starting off the game I guess.

2nd Analysis: NAI, Responding to Pyro about not receiving a PM.

3rd Analysis: NAI, Mostly just stuff about the rules. Though his calculations about the Firesouls do intrigue me, possibly a Firesoul himself?

4th +5th Analysis: NAI, replies to Experiences questions about the boxing cap.

6th Analysis: Slight Elim, talks about Firesouls, ask if they are lynched if it would kill those who voted on them. Looking for a way to kill a good amount of villagers? My suspicious about him being a Firesoul make this seem a bit more elim-like to me.

7th Analysis: Elim, seems very disappointed by the Firesoul thing not being possible. This is very suspicious to me, I’d appreciate others thoughts on this.

8th Analysis: NAI, answers a question about pinch hitters. Nothing to see here.

9th Analysis: Slight Elim, Asks Magestar why he voted on him, seems too defensive about it in my opinion, could be reading into it too much though. Yet again, I would appreciate another view on this.

Alright that’s all of his post at the moment I’ve wrote this. I hope this post makes sense, but in reality it probably doesn’t considering how bad I am at analysis. :P

EDIT:

Here’s a new vote count :)

Coda (3): Experience, Magestar, Ventyl

I'm just going to say that most of your reads on coda are NAI so having like 3 elim reads does not make one elim. (But to be fair, you did not find anything that made him look like a villager)

Letting the elims choose who dies isn't the worst thing, I don't think.

At least you forced the elims to do something.

In my experience, the worst outcome is when the elims don't have to do anything at all, because the lynch is between 2 villagers. Doesn't leave the village with much info, and without other sources of info people tend to look for somebody to blame for the mislynch, which can be a bad cycle to start.

That said, however amusing a 10-way tie would be, 10 is honestly way too many people to spread the lynch over. It dilutes information too much.

But a 2 or 3 way tie isn't a bad idea, at least for D1, imo.

That's a good question. I assumed voting on a player that got replaced wouldn't carry over but I can see why it would be logical to transfer the vote over to Elandera.

Yeah, I like that people are trying to develop a serious lynch but I don't think it should be COda.

Why would Coda not know the rules for Firesouls if they actually had that role or knew somebody who did, and seriously planned to kill people with it?

EDIT: Yes, I think they are coda. Also, Drakemarshall, there's vote manipulation(I think, hopefully I'm not remembering the rules incorrectly) and if the maf have it they can use it so that a villager for sure dies.

True, but then we know they have vote manip.

I still think that it's better to make it possible to lynch an elim, and I think that we will find out about vote manipulation eventually anyway, so we might as well get information now on a lynch of our choice.

Eh, that's true, but remember that many of the people in this game are twinborn, and that each action used on vote manip is one less storage action.

Which makes it very impossible that someone has vote manipulation now, unless there's an allomantic vote manip

Yeah but if a vote manip happens and one of the players who was actually up for being lynched doesn't claim it, then we know for sure that the elims have a vote manip which is useful. We also know who they wanted dead, and who they would rather have alive, which is also useful.

It's not as useful as actually lynching an elim, but it's nothing to sneeze at, especially considering the odds of lynching an elim on D1 aren't great in the first place.

More importantly, a tie implies serious competition between 2 lynchees, and that is competition that I want to create. Lynches with no opposition tend to be less likely to catch elims, they tend to be less informative, and worst of all, they tend to be boring :P

Yep. Ask Drake why if you're curious.

I think he remembers...

I remember, yep.

It comes from the Reckoners RP. Basically we are all pretty sure that The Young Pyromancer is an epic whose power is starting new pages. Pyro starts new pages with statistically improbable frequency, even taking into account their overall activity level.

So Pyro asked for catchphrases for when your power activates, and the only one I could think of was "Flame On!" from fantastic four.
