Emi she/her Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I didn’t respond yesterday because it was too late, but I think it wasn’t that important.
Magestar he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Huh. No vote shenanigans. Well that's disappointing. I was really hoping Drake would be a traitor. 8 hours ago, The Young Pyromancer said: Right, I'm going to cross-reference who voted on drake/coda. People who voted on both of them, you're bumped up my suspect list to the top. Heyo that's me! I mean I did take my vote off of Coda at the end and try to start something on Ash at the end of C1, but I've voted on both of them. 7 hours ago, Ashbringer said: ... I think the reason I/we were suspicious is because you two were trying to do so much behind the scenes... Well, that backfired. Now my suspicions are back to square one, because I doubt Pyro could fool both Drake and I in order to lynch a certain target. So I think Pyro’s soft cleared at least by me. I think this is probably accurate. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, the Shouty Shout club was kind of throwing a bit of a wrench in my analysis of the game. I... I still have suspicions, but they're a little muddier than they would have been had Drake been an Elim. I'm less confident in them, anyway. Not that I was terribly confident in any of my reads to begin with. Idk. I've got something to work with, at least. I still think Drake was a decent choice for the lynch. What confused me is that Drake didn't really defend themselves near the end of the game. If Drake had dropped a vote on Exp, then it would have been a tie. Before Ventyl did their last minute vote swap, Drake could have pretty easily decided the game by voting on Exp. But he didn't. At the time, I thought it might be because he was relying on the Elim vote manip. But I guess he must have had other reasons not to vote on Exp. Very odd. He didn't even fight the lynch that hard. Maybe he wasn't on at rollover. Blech. I'm going to be at work and out of the house pretty much all day today, so I probably won't be terribly active. I'll try to get on before the end of the night cycle and post some of my thoughts on what Drake being village means and what implications both that and the pattern of the lynch have. edit; uh... That posted before I finished it. Odd. Fixed the errors now. Edited June 9, 2020 by Magestar
|TJ| he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 So, I got a little carried away while writing some RP, and here is the result. The Last Laugh of Lorena Blackburn - Part 1/4 Death. That seemed to be the only thing constant these days. Death of the innocent. Every single day he saw them die, and every single day he was forced to carry their bodies away. One final company before they drifted off into the spiritual realm. First it was Coda, one of the cheerful guys who only wanted to have fun and bring a little laughter to this place. Last night, it was a scientist named Adomert, a quiet little person who seemed content to keep to themselves and immerse in one or the other of their contraptions. And he stood and watched. Watched idly as people died one-by-one. He felt helpless, and then felt ashamed at his helplessness. He could do something. He would do something. To Ruin with his orders of observing undetected. No more. Not a single person more. He could fail, but he would at least try. P.S. - Could someone post so that I could continue? P.P.S. - Also could you guys hold off from role-playing in relation to my character. I’ve written the rest of it, and I just need someone to post something before posting the rest. To be continued…
|TJ| he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) The Last Laugh of Lorena Blackburn - Part 2/4 As he vowed to himself, he noted a slight movement from the corner of his eyes that shook him out of his reverie. A young girl had just slipped out of the main chamber of the warehouse into the labyrinth of corridors adjacent to it. Lorena Blackburn, he recalled her name. He noticed that she had followed the same path as two other lords earlier. Immediately, his instincts as a spy took over. Was she a killer in disguise of a girl? Was she trained to kill from a young age? Why was she following them? Without a second thought, he slipped into the corridors and began to follow her. Turn after turn, he followed her quietly. He thought he could keep up with her easily, but he was wrong. This girl was really something else. He started to speed up slightly and he turned yet another corner… and stopped. She was gone. But.. I was right behind her. Where could she have gone? He practically started running, frantically searching for her when he heard a small yelp. He ran towards the direction of the voice, and what he found was not what he expected. To be continued...___________________________________________________________ Thanks @Matrim's_Dice! Ashbringer he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I'll give you the post now TJ. Will edit with actual thoughts soon.
|TJ| he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) The Last Laugh of Lorena Blackburn - Part 3/4 Lorena had her hand in the pockets of one of the lords she was following, and he had caught her in action. She tried to pry her wrists from his grasp, but soon realized it was futile. Instead, she smiled innocently as if she intended to find goodies in his pocket. Within the blink of an eye, she was on the ground, and they were already on their way. He rushed to find her surrounded by a pool of blood. Too much blood to have flown in an instant. How was it possible? The answer immediately flashed to him. Bendalloy bubble. They opened up a bubble, stabbed her, and departed, leaving her to bleed to her death as time slowed around her. He knelt and noticed a tiny grin on her face, all what was left of the innocent smile and glanced at her gut wound. She had died very painfully indeed. He hesitated, then moved to check for her pulse. Nothing. How.. how could I have doubted her? She was just a thief. Far worse people were here. She was just doing what she could to survive in the wretched place. I said no more. Why couldn’t I… Wait. What was that? He realized he was still holding her wrist. He waited anxiously, holding his breath. There. A very slight bump in her veins, very faint. But he felt it. Before he knew it, he was already up and dressing her wound. In a few minutes, he was off, navigating through the corridors with her cradled in his arms. To be continued... ________________________________________________ @Matrim's_Dice, yeah but boxings Edited June 9, 2020 by TJ Shade
Mat he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Ah I see, boxings. Is the bendalloy a reference to something?
Ashbringer he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Dang it Matrim! I wanted to do that. ... I think we need to make an agreement as a Village to NOT to do the last minute voting thing again. It doesn't really help anyone. For one thing, the accused really has no chance to defend themselves. Drake had been defending himself over the past thread, but he never really had a chance to defend himself when he was actually in danger. For another - bear with me here - it makes it almost impossible for anyone to use vote manipulation to properly affect the lynch and for the Village to read anything for it. This is fairly null in the XP>Drake lynch where there was no manipulation, but in the Coda>Karnage>Hatz lynch someone Soothed a vote off of one of Pyro, Drake, Mist, or Ash (me). I doubt it was Mist, because Mist didn't vote until the last minute (literally, the last 9 minutes). Pyro, Drake, and Ash all had votes on Karnage in the last hour and had changed to Hatz within the last half hour; Pyro and Ash went Karnage>Hatz and Drake went Karnage>Araris>Hatz. (Note that Hatz is now Kidpen, and hopefully active.) So the Soothing could have intended to prevent Karnage's death, Hatz's death, or very briefly Araris' death (He was briefly at a 3-way tie with Karnage and Hatz). And we have no idea which one was the real target the Elims (or some Village Soother); we can only speculate. If I have 1 post that's 200 words of RP and 200 words of analysis, does that give me 1 boxing or 2 boxings?
Emi she/her Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 @TJ Shade you already made your RP, then divided it into parts, or just 4 parts seemed wright to you?

|TJ| he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 The Last Laugh of Lorena Blackburn - Part 4/4 He reached the corner of the warehouse that also served as the sick bay. Bard, a surgeon brought in by Darson to deal with any ‘unfortunate’ events, peered over the book he was reading. He rushed as soon as he saw them and helped to settle Lorena on what appeared to serve as a bed. He proceeded to examine her, and after a while declared “I’m sorry son. But she’s as dead as the Lord Ruler.” “No, I..I felt a pulse.” he managed weakly. “She’s gone, son. Look around you. Look at those whom you can save.” He had a warm, comforting voice. TJ realized he was being Soothed but he couldn’t care. He had failed. He couldn’t protect even if he tried. Better to stand idle than this… this pain. He picked her up and moved towards the doors as he had the previous night. As he had the previous day. But it was different this time. He looked down at her and realized there still remained a hint of her smile. Even death could not wipe that grin off her face. He oddly found himself smiling. No. This may be more painful to me, but it’s a chance for someone. He couldn’t get angry with those who were responsible. Vengeance was the last thing in his mind. They would get what was coming to them, but first he had a responsibility. With newly found resolve and tears rolling down his cheeks, he carried Lorena and walked through the doors as he led her to a better world. _______________________________________________ 24 minutes ago, Matrim's_Dice said: Is the bendalloy a reference to something? Mist she/her Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (Part the eightenth, which is twice three threes, which is a slightly unstable configuration of the stablest of stable configurations, which indicates something horrible happening in the near future) Stick: The stick, flames having died down to a low simmer, moved to vote on who to enact the budgetary operation! It also thought that maybe, even if they couldn't be included in a writeup, they could still use the pseudonyms to keep themselves anonymous, if @The Great and Mighty Game Master would be so kind as to distribute the boxings they earned evenly! "I am a stick!" It reminded the gathered shouters! It then opened a door with its leaf to show them their replacement member! Confident Indecision Maker: Greetings, [NAME REDACTED DUE TO AN UNFORGIVABLE BETRAYAL]. Welcome to the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! The Intern: WELCOME, [NAME REDACTED DUE TO AN UNFORGIVABLE BETRAYAL]!! The Intern is happy to provide the necessary secretarial work or publishing for the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! Stick: The stick was waiting on @The Great and Mighty Game Master’s response! The Defector [WHOSE NAME WAS REDACTED DUE TO AN UNFORGIVABLE BETRAYAL]: Good grief! This is ridiculous! (At which point the narrator had to take a break to install the new spell-checker(and calm down from the mere mention of the Defector)) 1
Ashbringer he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (Part nineteen, the part which was spelled correctly again) The Great and Mighty Game Master: I don't think I'm going to do the anonymous posts from this PM for boxings. I will absolutely be posting some screenshots from this at the end of the game, though. Confident Indecision Maker: Can't we just post things in rotation by ourselves and reap the rewards within the ordinary activity rewarding system?!!! I don't want to ask the Great and Mighty Game Master to give us special consideration, all things held equal!!! Confident Indecision Maker: I apologize for my HEINOUS OVERSIGHT!!! The lack of SHOUTING in the previous message has been addressed POST HASTE!!! Stick: The stick shakes its leaf in consternation! That's one strike! Also, the GM misunderstands! The stick was suggesting the PLAYERS post the PM, not him! The only thing the GM would be doing is dividing the boxings among the players evenly, so they don't have to do maths, or cut off replies in the middle to not waste words! Confident Indecision Maker: Oh!!! I misunderstood the Stick!!! (Will the Stick be offended? Will they not care? Will the Stick’s final leaf fall out? Find out on the next episode of SHOUTY SHOUT AGENCY Z!!!)
Shard of Reading he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Reading groaned. They killed another PRE. This was supposed to help them find Loyalists, not kill the people who wanted to help. This was not going to work out. But he did not want to leave because they were serving nachos and he was hungry. Someone walked up to take some nachos. Reading snatched them and fled.
Mist she/her Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Lumen walked up to the serving table. Although it was late at night, they were still serving dinner. The latest meeting of the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! had gone late. There had been flames and coffee involved, and they had only just finished cleaning up. The agenda wasn't even finished when they adjourned. As she approached the front of the line, she heard a groan. She looked towards the source. He was muttering about how this was supposed to help them find Loyalists, not kill the people who wanted to help. She prepared a response. Then, at the front of the line, the server handed her a plate of nachos. Turning from the table, she started walking back to her area. A man then snatched the nachos right from her hand and fled. Lumen debated chasing him down, but she was tired, and she hadn't caught his name or face. It had been a long day. Instead, she went back to the back of the line, restarting the wait for nachos. 5 minutes later, the server looked at her strangely. "Weren't you just here?" Lumen prepared her response, but the server cut her off. "I know people want to stockpile food, but there's only enough for one plate per person." Lumen, exhausted, responded. "Some man snatched my nachos straight from my hand." "I suppose I can offer you another plate. Don't let this happen again. We're short on food as it is." As she walked away, Lumen blessed the understanding of the server. Now was not the time to go without food.
Ashbringer he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Faleast slouched into his chair. Another PRE and SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY member was gone, dead. He had been so sure he had found the traitor, the Loyalist with a silver tongue. But the only silver present was in the boxings in Lorena’s pocket and the tears in everyone’s eyes. Oh Harmony, why do they have to die so young? But this isn’t Harmony’s fault, is it, Faleast? It’s my fault. All my fault. Faleast had suspected Lorena. True, many people had. But it had been Faleast and the man called Reginald who led the way to the mob’s action. If not for him, then Lorena would still be alive, and the one called Shard and XP would have died in her place. He knew that Lorena’s death would help them find the real traitors. Pyria and Shard were now likely to be innocent, and Faleast had his own private suspicions he would investigate. And he had learned a valuable lesson: Before today, Faleast had thought the only person he could trust was himself. Now he knew he couldn’t even trust that far. Oh Harmony, why do they have to die so young while this miserable carcass persists? Ah well. Perhaps I can use what I’ve learned. Perhaps Lorena won’t have died in vain. Or perhaps someone will send this miserable carcass to the Beyond, where you can finally say “I was wrong”.
Experience he/him Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Well, I finally got around to starting some analysis, here goes. Karnage: Speculates on team size, votes on araris. Claims that a tie won’t help village, so moves vote to hatz Claims they stored something, pokes emi Elandera(Silber): Silber: Two words, completely NAI Elandera: Talks briefly about vote manipulation NAI Says we shouldn’t assume elims based on experience. Might be important if they flip elim NAI Says they trust people with game-related content more NAI Explains poke-voting, places vote on me (experience) Talks about lynch, places vote on me (experience) again Thinks pyro and karnage are probably not elims together Leaves vote on me (experience), says they want inactives to talk more Expresses more suspicion on me (experience) Explains suspicion on me (experience) Wants to lynch more active players so that village can get information NAI, claims they will do more analysis to get explanation on gut read on me (experience) Now, onto thoughts about them. I don't really have much about Karnage, seeing as they only have three posts. I'm not really leaning one way or another for them, but them saying that a tie won't help us is a little unusual to me, because it would give us information. About Elandera, there's some NAI stuff, but not very much. More then half of their posts are about their suspicions of me, and of course I don't like that but I don't find that alignment indicative. Neutral read on both Karnage and Elandera, with a very slight elim lean on karnage and a very slight village lean on Elandera.
