The Bookwyrm he/him Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 ...How exactly does an electromagnetic weapon work?

Rabbit Unmade she/her Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 gauss /ɡous/ noun a unit of magnetic induction, equal to one ten-thousandth of a tesla.

Rabbit Unmade she/her Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 What are you learning in science, Haly? Public school. Spoiler To be honest, I understand about three of those words. But that‘s because I‘m learning about archeology and figuring out how accurate old documents are and dendrothology.
Bird Furious she/her/un/important Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I’m learning about cells and such. Very annoying.

solarcat she/her Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Kind of? We don't do science experiments enough at my school. I mean fun in a sense that physics and chemistry are so much more interesting lol.
Bird Furious she/her/un/important Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Awww… Thats dumb. How am I properly going to be able to write about explosions if I never SEE ‘em?
Rabbit Unmade she/her Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 We got to use fire and make this really cool thing where all the water got sucked into the jar because the fire- You know what, I‘ll stop now. But science is so fun, in homeschool at least. We also learn about explosive things on the periodic table! (I know, not what you were going for, but most of these things are radioactive.) 1
Mr. Misting he/him Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 From my science experience it is very lackluster. Most experiments we do are about something weird like the salinity needed for brine shrimp to hatch. But then again I'm biased because I don't like group work.

We did a lab and I got to make a classmate be an enzyme. That was okay, but I wish I could have exploded him instead.
Mr. Misting he/him Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Just now, The Halcyon Girl said: We did a lab and I got to make a classmate be an enzyme. That was okay, but I wish I could have exploded him instead. I think what you really need is just an explosions class.

The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 This is what a gauss gun does, but highly magnified. 1
