Yeah, yeah, that'd be safest. I'll dye my hair white and wear a white bandana across my face.

No, you’ve got to go bald for this.

Anyone else have all the music from the Prince of Egypt stuck in their head?

I have the sheet music for playing it on the piano, so I always got it playing in the back of my head, like the background music in a movie

What is all of your guys favorite scripture? Mine is Helaman 5:12

"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

“7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

9 Therefore, hold on thy way, and the priesthood shall remain with thee; for their bounds are set, they cannot pass. Thy days are known, and thy years shall not be numbered less; therefore, fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever.”

I LOVE 2 Nephi 32:2

People are always talking about 2 Nephi 32: 3 which says that "Angels speak by the power of the holy ghost, wherefore they speak the words of christ" (paraphrasing) but I think that misses critical context in verse two. "Do ye not remember that I said unto you that after ye had received the holy ghost ye could speak with the tongue if angels?"

we are the ones speaking with the tongue of angels through the holy ghost. We can all be angels in our own right. As a writer, speaker, and author, there is nothing I want more than to be able to speak with the tongue of angels, and to say things that can actually change people.

It switches now and again, but currently it’s D&C 122:4–

“And although their influence shall cast thee into trouble, and into bars and walls, thou shalt be had in honor; and but for a small moment and thy voice shall be more terrible in the midst of thine enemies than the fierce lion, because of thy righteousness; and thy God shall stand by thee forever and ever.”

There are some guys on my XC team who enjoy trying to cast me into bars and walls. This brings me comfort.

I currently have the youth theme for this year, Philippians 4:13, written in sharpie on my arm. (I just had a race, and that’s what happens during races). It’s such a beautiful scripture, very simple, but when you believe it, anything is possible. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Another great "race scripture" that's similar is in Isaiah 40.

"Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary? He will not grow tired or weary.

He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint."

You can probably see why I love that scripture, but I'll say that we've all felt like we have no might. We've felt hopeless, and weak. But the lord will increase our strength.

That is probably my favorite scripture.
