How close are the Dark Angels to the building?

Within... 15 minutes of walking distance, let's say.

Alright, thanks. I was originally planning to have Kumiko impersonate one to use the assault to get into the building, but I guess that's no longer an option. :P

Please don't make assumptions about PlasmaCore defenses

It wasn't, though- you specifically stated in the last thread that PlasmaCore's shields could handle the battleship's weapons without a problem.

A deep roar echoed from the building, and a red river rushed out. It screeched, and rushed toward the chaos marines.  Each space marine that it touched was ripped to pieces, it's very spiritweb absorbed. With each death, hundreds more small red spren were added to the river.

Xena knelt down beside the red stream, ignoring all of the chaos marines. She wasn't scared of them... very much.

She turned to one, knocking on its chest to get its attention.

"Excuse me," Xena asked, "Do you know what that is?"

@Grey Knight

Psychic lightning burst from the ranks of the Astartes, the surviving Librarians of the Chapter driving the spren back with their combined might. The lightning disintegrated the spren wherever it touched down.

The Space Marine Xena had tapped stepped in front of her, raising its massive bolter.

"Daemons," it growled. It fired its weapon into the ranks of the spren. "What else could it possibly be?"

Again, please ask before making assumptions about this spren

A few died, but within seconds, it pulsed, and started absorbing the lightning. The lightning turned red, and the souls of those shooting it were engulfed. It turned, flowing around a building.

If he's misjudging their capabilities, can you get in a pm with each other so he knows about them, or post those calabilities here? You don't have to put in plot relevant things, but it should help prevent slowing things down by having us wait on a reaction from you for every single post dealing with PlasmaCore stuff.

"Right," Lita said, returning from her supply run. "Where are we headed?"

Laurelai opened her mouth to reply when a sudden flurry of mails came through to KanMien. She leaned over to take a look just as a photo was opened, some kind of red stream being emitted from the building.

"Well at least they've confirmed that it's them." She noted. "We've been asked to stay out of combat for now, they should probably pull back. I'll start passing the information on."

With one hand she began signing in Alleycant, with the other she began to mark out areas on the map, the area around plasmacore itself was obviously out for the moment. They'd need somewhere with concentrated TUBA forces if they wanted to send them a message. Though given the speed that things were escalating that might not be necessary anymore. They hadn't sent out any abominations yet but if fighting was taking place then they likely would soon.

Whisper stood on the tips of her toes, trying to get a better look at what was happening in the distance. She watched the continuous bombardment of the building from the sky, the rain of lights so similar to those which had once showered the entire city.

Whisper let out a small sigh, shoulders slumping down. She flicked her hair back and as she did so broke the Lightweaving she kept around it. Her face shifted, features slightly rearranged in a different expression, her eyes had a perpetual wideness to them as she anxiously scanned the streets below, her hair hung matted and unkempt across her shoulders and poking out from the top, two small little feline ears stood perked up.

Not a time for hiding anymore. She noted to herself as she leapt up to a nearby building.

I'm fine. She signed back to Kumiko. Heading out for a bit, I'll let you know if I find anything pertinent.

She broke out into a run and leapt from one rooftop to the next, making her way across the city.

Plenty of chaos in the air tonight. Whisper gave a small carnivorous smile to those below as she leaped over them, trying to find one of the smaller gatherings of people.

Voidus waited for any further news from the scouts who seemed to have taken the initiative to start investigating Plasmacore, he hesitated at the base of the barrier to the Worldspike, not yet entering but also not leaving.

Sudden light pierced the sky as a bombardment began to rain down on a particularly tall building, Plasmacore it seemed had many enemies tonight.

Voidus frowned at the lights, following them back up to their source: The tremendous battleship that waited far, far above the city. Was this the same ship that had attacked the city the last time he'd entered the barrier? They'd only sent out some of the less destructive creations that time, but even so losing so many at once had been something of a setback, they'd only just recently managed to replenish all of those who had been lost. And such a pointless waste of Spikes as well, the bombing hadn't left many intact for reuse.

Almost unconsciously Voidus lifted a hand, blindingly bright light began to spill out of the air as his touch seemed to rip a hole in the air through which the Dor could flow. He'd already taken aim at the ship and sketched out half of an Aon before he paused.

Temper. They weren't pursuing immediate aggressive action, that was what they'd agreed upon. And he did not wish to rule the DA as a dictator, ignoring the decisions and wisdom of others. Best to leave it for now, there will always be time later.

Time was one commodity that he didn't run out of, there would always be another day he could exact a toll from them in payment, or perhaps one day they'd prove useful in some other way. After all, unmaking something was easy, remaking something if you needed it later was more difficult.

With that Voidus opened the small gateway into the barrier. He entered back into what had once been like a prison and smiled at the familiar, rhythmic thumping of footsteps.

Lita jumped a little at Laurelai's sudden flurry of motion, joining her in signing messages and reports to the appropriate channels, hoping that it might give her some room to plan a safe route to the TUBA forces.

Well, a safer route. Judging from the images pouring forth from the city, there didn't seem to be a "safe place" left - aside from here.

And we're leaving, Lita thought sourly, twirling her pen with a resolute grimace. Rusting wonderful.

"Do we have any idea where we'll find the majority of TUBA's members? Any intel on their private residences, known associates, friends? Some place we can start?"

That was generally the first rule of spying on one's enemies - keep track of them. Still, the DA wasn't exactly a typical organization. Depending on how you looked at it, the whole city was made up of enemies - or completely below the DA's notice.

Clearly, that attitude needs changing, Lita noted, wondering how exactly she might bring that point up. Later. You can brainstorm clever ways to get yourself disintegrated later.

Okay, so I actually have no idea if you guys know about TUBA's tunnels or not.

Possibly about their existence, probably not much specifics outside of individual interests. I guess this kind of brings up the question of how much the DA and TUBA actually interact outside the RP, if there were constant conflicts going on then there'd probably be more research into them being done.

Also as a note: Where are Deteca and co. atm? Was it just someone's house?

I don't imagine there'd be too many conflicts - TUBA is more of a "we'll fight with words" type overall, and the DA probably wouldn't consider them enough of a threat?

Tena's house, yeah.

Stormbreaker nodded, calling a drop ship from the air to fairy him there.  He paused.  It would probably be a better idea to coordinate with the Ghostbloods from their headquarters.

He told the pilot of the Viper to get it "space ready".  The driver, supressing a grin, flipped up a black cover on the control panel.  It revealed  a massive red button surrounded in red and yellow cautionary tape.  He pressed it without hesitating.

The ship began to transform.  The sides closed, and massive sheets of armor plating began to cover the hull.  Folding from seemingly nowhere, they completely encased the ship.  A bit of nanotechnology from the Diagram.  The ship also generated a repulsing shield that lessened the wieght of it dramatically.  Several other Vipers transformed with his, and followed him.  The technology was highly experimental, and one strong jolt could make them all suffocate in the vacuum of space.

So naturally, they gunned it out of the atmosphere.  Headed straight for Invincible Reason, Hasharan heralded his arrival with the in-board communication device.

"A Viper drop-ship is on it's way to you fairying Stormbreaker, god of Protection, Source of the Diagram, Comander in Cheif of Diagram Armed Forces, Commander of Fortress Eternal, War Hero, Leader of the Diagramists—"

He cut off as Stormbreaker silenced him.  He took the microphone from Hasharan, and said, "It's Stormbreake, Lusk, if you receive this, I'm on my way to coordinate an attack on Plasmacore.  Several escort Vipers are with me."

@I think I am here.

———

Darkness nodded as Wes gave him the message.  It was time to attack.  But first, Darkness wanted to raid a bakery.  Fighting really took it out of you.

——

Twenty minutes later, Darkness was satisfied, and ready to lead the Guns 'n Ninjas to attack.  He motioned them forwards.  "Alright Ninjas," he said, "Here's the plan.  We find Plasmacore's weak point, then strike hard and fast.  I'll need Zan and Wes to accompany me as scouts.  Seom will hang back as a healer.  Let's go."

With that, he struck out, hoping that they would follow him.

Edahs entered the Plasmacore building, looking around for someone he could steal information from.

Nekorb, he thought. Where is Nekorb?

Deteca looked from Tena to Daa. "Can you find TUBA's best warriors and inform them their help is needed fighting PlasmaCore?"

Posted

Daa buzzed uncertainly. "Sure... who are TUBA's best warriors, actually? I have yet to discover that information..."

"That's what I need help finding out," Deteca explained. She bit her lip, wondering if Eiran would know. Probably not - he was a newer recruit.
