Ciera sat in a chair upon her Skimming platform. Alone. No Warders to guard her. Cakuin was off investigating... something. She would go to great legths to figure out the mystery of her killers. Galvris was... away.

So Ciera sat alone. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. Time to be a Ghostblood. A gateway snapped open as she stepped off the platform, depositing her in Oasis City. She checked her phone. Nothing of importance, besides the sky, of course. She opened a secure communication service, made by and for Ghostbloods, and dialed a number.

"Lusk," she snapped, "What's the situation. I've been... indisposed. Sorry for the curt tone, by the way." Ciera finished hastily, realizing Lusk was her serior at the last moment.

Stormbreaker called Lusk again, with the same message.

I'm down here on the streets, and it looks bad.

It's definitely Plasmacore, several of my men died trying to infiltrate it.

We need a large inter-guild army, to coordinate and strike.

I'm contacting the government right now, teleport me up so we can plan.

He put it down and contacted Keleth.  Perhaps the government could send in the precursors.

“We ask you contact one of our ground captains,” Lusk said. He types back to Stormbreaker.

We are planning infiltration before a direct assault. Do you see or have you identified any weaknesses that can be exploited?

The figures dodged somehow, moving out of the way with frightening speed and aiming blocky guns at Damon.

A fist, propelled by a half-ton of muscle and power armor, slammed into Damon's head from behind.

@ElendVenture

As Damon saw the guns, he steel-pushed himself toward the figures, passing between them and firing twice more at each. Then he saw the muscly thing come out from where it was about to punch him a couple seconds ago. He emptied a revolver into it's head, where the eyeslits should be, steelpushing all six bullets for extra speed. He had once tested this and found that he could make a 340 grain hard-cast bullet travel at 3000 feet-per-second. Unfortunately, Damon dropped his satchel, which had his ammunition in it as he pushed himself away from the blocky gun men. He made it to the opposite end of the room from the muscled dude, and half the room away from the gunmen. He was careful to look forward but watch his back too. He now only had twenty rounds left in his pockets. The rest had been in his satchel. He reloaded the empty revolver. Fourteen now...

I need to understand something if I'm going to know how to write with it, don't I? Otherwise I'll make mistakes.

If you tell me everything, then I'm far more likely to get a complete understanding- because different things tie into each other, knowing all about one thing will help me understand related things.

Anthony hiked into the building, small cuts and bruises visible on his arms and face.

"Tena." His voice was rough, tired. "Who are all these people?"

Stormbreaker sighed.  There weren't any weaknesses that he himself had discovered.  But maybe once he'd talked to his Watcher team.  He rounded a bend and the sight of a burning Viper Drop-ship greeted him.  He looked towards the side of the street, and found his team climbing to the rooftops.

He took the stairs.

He emerged onto the rooftop, and what was left of them was sitting around Forel.  Stormbreaker marched towards him, and the man saluted stiffly.  "Soldier, report," he barked.  Forel wearily relayed all that had happened, and gave I'm a casualty report as well.

He sent back to Lusk:

My team wasn't on the roof long enough to collect enough data.  However, I can give you the numbers and approximate positions of the rooftop defenses.

He took Hasharan, Edalb, and Forel aside to speak with them.  They would need the entirety of the Silent Gatherers, plus his small militia.

"TUBAists I invited over for a meeting," she said, holding out Solstice. "Can you hold her for me?"

Anthony picked Solstice up, rocking her back and forth.

That would be helpful

If that was an accurate representation of the defenses

Tena immediately sat down on the couch and tried to relax.

Tels began to walk through the city, for once enjoying the sights. A deep, blue mist permeated the sky, providing a nice contrast from the regular sky. Plus, as a bonus, most everyone seemed to fear it. Fear led to chaos, and chaos led to thieving opportunities. Yes indeed, today would be a great day to swipe some coins... and maybe something more.

Deteca knocked on Tena's door, hoping someone would open it quickly. She didn't want to stay out in the mist for too long.

She laughed a little. "Yep, I'm Deteca. What's your name - and may I come in?"

Deteca smiled at the woman. "It's totally fine. It's nice to meet you, RaiSeel." She strode into the house, glancing around until she saw Tena and Rial, who she then headed toward.
