Furamirionind They/Any/All Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 That's why I was thinking that the Division user may not have had much stormlight, so couldn't kill Snipexe, so roleblocked him until they either had 3 stormlight, or the elim kill comes back around.

In past games, I only recall him doing this late into the game, so that may be worth noting. I want to mention that this was because I'm trying to actually be active this game, which I've not done so well with in the past. So, I'm just going to come right out and tell the truth. I burned Snipexe. No, I am not a spren with division. No, I am not a spren with transportation. I am a stonespren. I created a large fire, and used that. I was unaware of the fact that Snipexe was a Cryptic, and just trying to find someone who seemed suspicious. At that time, only Dapper was suspicious to me. He was burned. So I read Fura's post, where he stated that Snipexe seemed more elim then village to him. So I burned him. Not the best reasoning, I know, but that's what happened. Sorry.

I know roleblocks are close, but there are ways of extracting information from every type of action, I'm sorry about your homunculus though.

I am just a bit confused as to how that mechanic would work. Hopefully the name isn't a direct correlation to the essences to make it... I was told that it would not hide actions. So, I'm not sure. Probably in situations where my identity is scanned, it results in no result? Sart he/him Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Vote Count: Ark (1): Lopen Oh come on! We have more information now than ever, but only one person has voted. Now then. Regarding Cadmium Compounder, and my revealing his role. I regret doing that. I got too amped up about lynching Fifth, on whom I believed I had a rock solid case. My main evidence was that he lied about his role. While he did lie, he was still a Villager, so revealing Cadmium's role was unnecessary. To clarify my position on role reveals, I like revealing them when they enhance the lynch. In my case, i revealed to prevent a mislynch, and in Cadmium's case, I did it to hopefully lynch a bad guy. What I don't like is people revealing their role for no reason, like in a role swap. That's dangerous, especially with conversion. Now then, since I have time to post, I'm going to place a vote. Lopen I'm suspicious of you. A similar lack of voting happened in my Mid-Range game on Day 3. Guess what happened? The only two people to vote were two bad guys. They weren't afraid to vote, because they knew there wasn't any danger of lynching a teammate. I suspect the same thing has happened this game. In addition, you're a fairly active player who has managed to stay under the radar. That might not mean anything, but it could have made you a better target for a conversion. For these reasons, I'm voting on you.
+Ark1002 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I am going to place my vote on Lopen. While I'm probably biased, as he is currently trying to lynch me, I have reasoning for such. First: While he did accuse me of this, I also accuse him of withholding strong opinions, trying to remain inconspicuous. To me, this seems like he might be trying to kill a villager without notice of himself. Second: His post during night two was long, but didn't actually say much. His people he cleared in his suspicions were a lot of "gut feelings" and "general villager reads". A few made sense, but those were the ones anyone could see. The people he was suspicious of (besides me) was "unreadable people". But again, very little reasoning. Third: In day 2, he said outright that his vote would end up probably being a bandwagon, or a vote for the bond. While he failed to actually place the vote, it seemed fairly unhelpful, as it would have been doing nothing to the game. This shows bandwagoning and going just for bonds, which is something he accused me of. Basically all his posts have seemed substansial but actually been useless. Like Sart said he was fairly active, but stays under the radar.
Sart he/him Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 10 minutes ago, Lumgol said: @Sart Why do you dislike role swaps? In theory, they can be useful to form trust groups and make alliances. However, in conversion games, they can be dangerous. If someone you trusted is converted, congratulations, the Elims now know your role. That helps them navigates the town's plans, and can lead to easy victories. It was especially dangerous in Fifth's case, as he was role swapping with everyone. Even if some Villagers lied to him, the Elims would have probably half of our roles if they converted him. The one time I was a converter, this was my strategy. First I converted someone blindly that was active. I wanted someone to shield me in case the lynch swung my way. Second, I converted someone who was involved in a bunch of PMs, in order to learn the village's plans and gain more information. Third, I converted someone with a kill role, to quickly eliminate the rest of the Village. I imagine Sja-Ajanat is following a similar strategy here, but obviously that will differ with play style.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 As your GMs, we’d just like to remind you that as a bonded spren, you have access to use essences, your spren ability, and the two surges of your order. Any one of these may be used each turn. Just a PSA.

Better busy being on fire than being on fire and not busy about it... : P Lopen absolutely could have been converted, but I don't like the case against him. Ark's seems to have some logic behind it... Sart's seems so insubstantial that I almost can't see him being an elim purely from fear of being called out on that analysis. No way has Lopen gone under the radar. I have spent some time analyzing him, as has one other player (Devotary maybe? can't remember of the top of my head) I am fairly confident in Lopen starting the game as a villager. Perhaps Lopen is a masterful elim that has fooled me. I will probably go read some of their previous games just to assuage my conscience that this is not the case. However, everything they have done so far has put a giant green flag over their head to me. Fifth was similar, and I mentioned that I getting strong village vibes from Fifth. I am also getting them from Lopen, but have slightly more evidence to support that. Because of that, I am going to double down in Lopen's defense until I have a solid reason not to. When I am not so tired, I will also reread Lopen's posts and post an updated opinion as well. In the mean time, I am tempted to vote on Ark just because this change in play-style is extremely sudden and without prompting... However, it would be foolish of me to go after someone for doing something I like... So I will hold off on Ark. As a placeholder/poke until I get around to looking at everything, @Shqueeves I would love to hear some of your thoughts. Shqueeves Edit: I literally just woke up (and likely will be going back to sleep in a moment), so hopefully everything makes sense... Edit: Sarts vote reads to me like a villager who doesn't know who to vote on, and are casting a semi-random vote and trying to create excuses for it. That's probably a better way to describe it than what I said above. Edited April 25, 2019 by Furamirionind
Steeldancer he/him Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Hey guys, I just got back to NY, and I said I would keep you updated on the whole situation. First off, I’m officially extending the turn about 24 hours, because I’m seeing endgame during rollover tomorrow soooo. When it will end on 4/26/19, I’m not sure yet, that’ll depend on what my schedule ends up looking like. I’ll keep you informed. Thanks for your patience and understanding. 4

I can't control what anyone else does or has done in the past, and as for whether I've stayed under the radar or not is up to how much attention everyone has paid to my posts. I certainly wasn't a large factor in D2, but I feel I've contributed a good amount so far, so there is content to look at if anyone wants to try and get a better read on me. 1 hour ago, Ark1002 said: I am going to place my vote on Lopen. The other players besides you i had in my suspicion pool were simply there because I don't have any reason not to put them there. I'm not gonna do a huge post with long paragraphs for each player. I simply don't have that much time/energy to devote to that. 3. D2 I was basically useless, but in my defense I admitted that already. Seems harsh to say all my posts have been useless... I don't know what to feel about these votes on me. I was surprised that Ark admitted to Burning Snip, and it actually kind of feels village-y that he admitted it, but I'm unsure. Sart feels different from normal, but it's been a while since I've played and I can't say I've really been able to read him that well in the past. Ark, why did you decide to create Large Fire? I'm glad that we got an extension, so we can hopefully get some more discussion going. That's all I've got for now. I think I'm getting some kind of cold/flu, so that might affect my activity levels. I kind of want to back off of Ark and look at some other players, but I just don't have the energy right now for that, so my vote stays until I can look things over again.
