“Well that shouldn’t stop us from setting up the party. It can be a surprise.” Leona said. “And maybe no alcohol. Impaired judgement and stormlight don’t mix very well.”

James walked into the kitchen "Storms that smells good!" he exclaimed "I love Italian food!"

He sat down at the table and listened to the conversation that was going on.

"Definitely."

Shana finished her spaghetti and leaned back in her chair.

"And I really want to spar first. Especially with you."

No holding back this time. It was going to be fun.

Rob nodded, finishing his own spaghetti. Should he have been worried about allowing a Dustbringer to go full out on him? Probably, but it was a challenge, and plus, from his conversation with Shana, she needed it. With his surges best suited for defence, he could probably take the most hits anyway. “It’ll be an interesting spar,” he said, looking to Ruby, who suggested they wait for Doc.

“And the others who went with him,” he said. “Cassandra and... Draug, I think.”

"So does anybody want to come out to spar with us? After dinner of course."

Shana asked everybody who could hear her. They could always make larger teams, or decide on pairings or whatever.

Luther Hill

Age: 16

Spren: Niscroc

Appearance: Middling height dark eyes and hair pale skin.  Likes to wear long dark pants and a clean button down shirt.  He almost always wheres his vambraces disguised to look like large bracelets.

Personality: Passionate.  Never does anything by haves but rigidly controlled and not particularly humorous although he does have a thing for sarcasm.  Cannot stand for things to be disorderly or unfair.

Radiant Status: Second Ideal Skybreaker

Background: Parents are still together but for work reasons they live in another state Luther writes to them dutifully.  He broke interesting enough while being at the receiving end of the unjust and arbitrary rules that govern teenage social behavior rules that he could never follow.

Abilities: An excellent student and note taker Luther mastered Sherlock's Palace at a young age.  His social interactions come off as overly formal(which they are) and he is incredibly dedicated.

Can someone summarize the plot so far so I can insert myself?

I hadn't known any of the plot when I joined, so you can probably just come knocking on the door.

"Do you want to go on with sparring?"

Shana turned to Ben.

"You could also read a book if you want to. I wouldn't mind, I'm fine with whatever you prefer."

She offered carefully, tried to make him feel welcome, but at the same time she knew that he prefered a good book over physical exercise anytime. Hopefully he wouldn't feel like he needed to spar, only to make her happy. She loved him, there was no need for him to try to become someone else only because they were together.

For the purpose of the plot, I'll say that Cassie will follow the rest of them if the plot goes that way.

Doc's eyes fell on to a truck someone had left idling in the lane. He smiled to himself.

"That's against the rules." he murmured, "Looks like I'll need to seize it for evidence." To everyone else, he said, "There's a truck idling in the pickup lane. I don't want to say we're gonna steal it, but that's pretty much what we're gonna do, so I'll use the term commandeer instead."

Luther arrived earlier this day.

Luther looks around distastefully.  His new room was a mess.  He intimidatingly got to work organizing.

"Organization is the key to continuity and continuity allows the maintenance of a productive society" Niscroc murmured.

Luther agreed completely.  "The same can be said of individuals" he replied.  "An organized mind and environment allow us to undertakes actions that we would be hapless to do otherwise."

All you need to know is that’s theres a party soon and prom is coming up. Ben and Shana are going together as are Leona and Rob. Flid was going to ask leona but didn’t.

“If you’ve got space, I’ll spar with you” said Leona.

“That’s good,” Rob said, standing up and walking by, collecting all the plates of finished people on his way to the sink.

“What about you, Flid?”

“I think I’ll just practice cohesion. Speaking of which, Leona can I borrow some play doh? It’ll replicate cohesion without using stormlight.”
