Still, this was her first time on the Pacific coast, even if it wasn't in California. She was on business. She mentally prepared a checklist of things to do. First, get her bags from the claim, then go get a car. After that, she could go look for Knights Radicant. They were supposedly much more common here than anywhere else in the country. That seemed worrisome but he figured if they didn't want them all to know, there had to be a reason. Also, he had other things to worry about right now. As soon as he had let go of the Stormlight, he felt hungry. Really hungry. How long had they been down there? He decided to go upstairs and if no one was already at it, make lunch for everyone. Yeah, there had been cake but not everyone had eaten and it probably wasn't a good idea to have sweets for breakfast and lunch. Knows when to use her abilities to her advantage. Personality: Cheerful in bad situations, a bit overly dramatic in others. She’s only recently come to know who she really is, and is still a tiny bit insecure. Appearance: A little taller than average, pretty muscular. She has dark red hair, green eyes, and a delicate face dusted with freckles. She wears a grey crop top sweatshirt with the Steel Alphabet glyph for pewter on it over a tight black tank top. She usually wears either sweats or leggings, both black, and a black beanie with the Feruchemical symbol for chromium on the front. Backstory: Born as the daughter to a Full Feruchemist and a gold Misting, she grew up learning all about the Metalic Arts. Once she Snapped into her powers at age 12, she was trained slowly by her parents and other Mistings and Ferings in the use of her powers. The power made her feel very insecure throughout most of highschool, until she made friends with another Misting at her high school, who introduced her to the New Worldbringers, a group of various Investiture users (mostly Metallic Arts) who know about the other kinds of Investiture. Heart racing she closed her eyes, forgot about everything around them, about those probably watching, or the danger of the Voidbringers. Nothing was important, nothing but Ben.

She was good at moving through crowds, especially ones consisting of tourists. She lived in downtown DC, where most of the tourists congregated. She continued to dance through the crowds, heading for the exit to the baggage claim.

It wasn't a very powerful one, by the looks of it; only the red eyes showed that this creature was no longer human. You had to be careful judging by that metric, though. Some of the red-eyes could get more powerful than a second-oath Radiant before beginning to grow carapace. He'd even seen some almost as powerful as third-oaths, although he suspected they were just better at hiding their beginning transformation. In any case, they were no match for his Shardblade, even if they had one as well. That was unlikely; while many Radiants fell to Sha-thoexis, their Blades usually went to higher-ups; and, of course, not every broken Blade went to the Voidbringers. Often times they were recovered by other Radiants and gifted to those without Radiance who wanted to fend off the influence of Sha-thoexis. But, of course, that wasn't the main threat here. He could easily defeat this Voidbringer in combat, true, but this one wasn't the only one. The creature would likely have two or three friends not too far from here, and he'd be able to call for reinforcements if that wasn't enough. The number of Voidbringers had been growing alarmingly in recent years, and they'd begun to be more daring. He'd heard rumors of a new Voidbringer leader that was pushing recruitment in a dangerous new direction- towards the parents and friends of Radiants. He knew from personal experience how insidious such an attack could be. Careful, he thought to himself as the Voidbringer approached his position. Don't want to get distracted. All of a sudden, the red-eyed man stopped, as if he had heard something. He turned his head side to side, scanning the alleyway. His eyes swept across the floor and up the wall opposite of where Draug was standing. He took that for a cue and summoned Sae as a Shardblade. Then he jumped off the roof, landing with a burst of Stormlight behind the Voidbringer. The man spun around, but it was too late; Draug's swing of Sae passed through him, severing his spine and burning his eyes instantly. Draug instantly looked towards the entrance of the alley to see if any of the other Voidbringers had seen his assault. It looked like the coast was clear- for now- but he didn't relax. The others would soon notice their fallen friend; he had to leave before they caught him. He Lashed himself upwards, jumping onto the rooftops and beginning to run.

Glint let himself slowly fall behind Mahad, even though he knew he could win. Mahad had been kind to him lately, and he wanted to somehow make it up to him, even just a little bit. Glint then felt something from Ben, a joy he had never felt from him before. If he could have smiled, he would have. ===================== Eyes closed, Ben felt Shana pull him closer, felt her return his kiss. Everything felt right with the world. He loved Shana. And, impossible as it seemed, she loved him back. Had it been possible, he would have stayed in that blissful, perfect moment forever. Eventually he pulled back. He hesitantly smiled and cupped her delicate face in his hands. Hundreds of thousands of words rattled around in his head, none of them good enough to express what he was feeling, how she made him feel. ”Shana, I-“ He faltered, terrified again.
