(I'm gonna use parentheses for some non character stuff, because I'm on mobile and my phone is weird. Man a heck of a lot has happened on on my week off- something not entirely my choice, as illness has left me quite exhausted. So sorry bout that)

 

After quite the rest, James finally succumbed to the Nightwatcher's prodding, and went looking for Sawyer. "Hey Sawyer" he called out, "You here?"

You think, or you have something? We have some plot ready for the prom. I don't want to stress you, but most people are waiting for the prom to start, have for a while. So if you have something, do it, but if it's a scene that can happen during the prom, then maybe rp it then.

I simply worry a bit about the rp, I'd like for it to go on for a bit, but for that we need some plot as well.

Facts about Sha-thoexis

She feeds on thoughts and memories- specifically ones about Investiture, although she also consumes things as they are forgotten.

Her intelligence is composed of all the thoughts, memories, and dreams that she has consumed.

The Radiant Bond resists her influence strongly. A bond to a dead Shardblade will also resist in the same fashion, but less effectively. An active user of Investiture- for example, a Metalborn burning, tapping, or storing- will resist her influence as well, although this protection only lasts for as long as the power is being used.

She is able to get in more easily when you are dreaming, which is when you are the most vulnerable. If you are not prepared, you will almost certainly fall.

Sha-thoexis often specifically targets those of other magic systems that wander into her AoE. For almost all of them, she succeeds.

When you fall to Sha-thoexis and your memories of Investiture are consumed, an layer of obfuscation is left behind to make sure you don’t remember anything. Holes in your memory are filled (as best they can be) and your sensitivity to magic is dulled.

Well, Jamie is one of "those of other magic systems that wander into her AoE". Because she's been burning/tapping/storing or close to other Radiants for her whole time here, Sha-thoexis hasn't been able to get into her mind, but when she falls asleep she's going to be vulnerable. She hasn't ever faced Sha-thoexis before (she doesn't even know she exists), and she doesn't have a spren to help her out. It's the same thing that's happened to practically every other person from another magic system who stays here for any amount of time.

However, Sha-thoexis's increased presence in the house is going to have an effect on everyone inside. For most people- those who haven't faced Sha-thoexis before- it's not going to amount to much more than a nightmare. But for Draug, who's been battling with Sha-thoexis for as long as he's been a Radiant, it's going to give him an opportunity. Sha-thoexis can get into people's brains, true, but that means they can get into hers. And once he's inside, he can help Jamie out.

Shana smiled at him, lifted a hand and brushed a strand of his hair out of his face.

"Don't worry Ben. I think he'll be more annoyed by what happened with Rob, than worry about us. He's offering beds to a horde of teenagers. We were prone to fall in love on day."

I wouldn't say no chance. It's just that most of the people in the house either have never faced Sha-thoexis or have fallen out of practice from being in such a sheltered area.

Ben covered Shana’s hand with his. 

“You both ended up inflicting an equal amount of pain on each other. I know it seems like you hurt him a lot more, but from what I can tell getting impaled isn’t all too pleasant either. Either way, neither of you meant to hurt each other so much and no permanent harm was done. It’s all in the past now.”
