I forgot about Mahad...

At the lake Mahad suddenly halted and then whirled around, changing direction.

Shana, something happened

He anxiously told Glint and then rushed for the house. When he arrived there, he ignored all other humans, but wrapped himself around Shana.

=============

The spheres close to Shana dulled, her breathing turned deeper. She didn't open her eyes though.

If you want to interact with her feel free to wake her up, otherwise she'll sleep a bit longer.

Luther checked her for obvious wounds then gave her a bit more stormlight.

There were no wounds he could see and she stired when he touched her. The spheres stayed full - Ben had done his work well.

Luther taped the side of her head carefully and followed the exact set of steps he remembered from the official pamphlet from that first aid kit.

Her head?

She was floating in darkness for a while and then there was warmth. Caring, gentle warmth that enveloped her, carried her along and filled her completely. The darkness slowly vanished, let her go, left her in the wonderful warmth.

Shana groaned, when she felt someone wrap something around her head. She was tired, exhausted, as if she had run too fast and too far several times.

"Ben?"

She asked and opened her eyes, then closed them again when the sun blinded her.

"Oh my goodness," yelled Leona. "Are you okay?"

She dropped Azriel in the grass and ran over to Shana.

"Leona?"

Shana groaned and slowly pushed herself up. Her thoughts were muddled, cloudy. She had fought, the blade. Her hand touched her side, but the hole was gone. The pain, her surge -

"Rob. Is he alright?"

"Rob has some pretty bad burns. I guess we know that division works on people now. Ben's fixing him up. He should be fine."
Turning to flid, she said "Rob and Shana were sparring and she hit him with division. It's not good."

"Probably. Their stormlight could only take care of so much, but fortunately, we have Ben."

She gestured over to to the edgedancer.

"Anyways, they should be fine in an hour or two."

“Shana!”

Relief flooded through Ben. He had know his healing had worked, but there had been a small, irrational part of his brain that had worried anyways. He walked over to her. He had finished healing Rob- all that remained was to wait for him to wake up.

”How are you feeling?”

Flid looked up. "All that damage and they'll be fine?"

Eventually.  Although it seems that my earlier admonition not to use that surge directly on people was well founded.

Edwin walked over to where everyone was. Shana and Rob had both blacked out, and they were only sparring! They had gone too far. "Guys." he said slowly. "I think we need new rules for sparring, this... this is something that shouldn't ever happen."

"Maybe no using surges on people?" Leona asked. "That would prevent the kind of insane full-body damage this is."

Oh my. We are now the most replied-to topic in the normal RP section. We've been running for a month.

Wow.

Rob woke up.

For some reason, waking up to the smell of dried up burnt blood was strangely disconcerting.

But he wasn’t bleeding anymore, he noticed. Groaning he closed his eyes and lightly touched where the fourth-degree burns had been, spreading around his body. There were no wounds now. But storms, he was tired.

He saw how the others had crowded around him and Shana, talking about changing sparring rules.

“No,” he said, his face had resumed its neutral pose after what had happened. “This was a spar where I deliberately told her she could go full on. Usually it would never come to this.”

He sat up. “Can someone get me some stormlight?” He mumbled.

Shana rolled some of the spheres Luthar had placed next to her over to him. She was exhausted, couldn't even think of getting up right now. But Rob was talking, that was good.

"I'm tired."

She replied to Ben's question and reached for his hand.

"Don't worry. I won't use that surge in a normal spar."

That was for the rest of them. Rob's scream echoed in her ears, she hadn't seen his face, there had been too much pain, when his blade had slowly pushed into her body,  too much rage to banish the pain, but she recalled his scream, the way his body had tensed under her hand, the smell of burning flesh. Gruesome. Closing her eyes, she lay back again, concentrated on breathing. They had agreed on this, he had asked her to - but it didn't change anything. It had been a favor, because she had been afraid. She had known that her control might slip. Shana pressed a hand against her face, to hold back the sob closing her throat.

Flid nodded. "Edwin is right. Karger, you have any ideas?"

We will need impartial referees on all sparing matches.  No full permanent surges on people division, transformation, cohesion or tension.  Healer stands by on all matches.  If you want to learn what a surge does on a person get organic material and experiment on that first.  If necessary we can get some lab rats.  We must as a group decide weather a surge is acceptable to use on people and we must do so in an organized fashion.  In this region voting is the most common method.

After what had happened, James excused himself inside, and began to empty his stomach.

"Why do people have to hurt each other?" He whispered to himself, and he didn't even bother to hide the tears beginning to fall

Ben placed some spheres near Rob’s head for him to inhale the stormlight from. His healing could do nothing for his tiredness, but holding some stormlight should take off the edge.

Ben saw Shana stifle a sob and immediately became concerned. Was she in pain? Had he missed an injury? He placed his hand on her forehead, but couldn’t detect any injuries (I’m assuming healing in SA is similar to healing in WOT). Ben squeezed Shana’s hand.

“Are you alright, Shana?”
