Interesting... not many people start with white sand. It's often the exception of his books, but i guess i don't often realize that it's still a way to get graphic novel people into sanderson.

Its cause  i got a friend to read mistborn a while ago, and jusging by their reading speed, they would be done right arounf now. And i inow they were researching and seeing the updates nad whatnit, so it's very convevable they made their way to th shard.

not as much that they would know which sharder is me, thogu.

or did new member used to get bith the hand on their pfp and be part of the "new members" group? Because now all the new members are just oart of the "members" group (still with the hand but was their not a seperate group before?)

Banning can be where chaos or a mod just nukes the account [from orbit or wtvr lol], so deletes their posts and everything on their profile (about me, membet title, etc.). Includes SU's i assume. and pfp.

they usually don't delete the account, though. they do sometimes, like for old bots on occasion.

also u can't ping banned accounts which also lets you know if they are banned, but can be confusing too.

Also btw they don't always nuke the account, should've specified. I think for non-bot or smth, they usually (*usually*) leave posts and profile and everything, but they just make you not able to post or anything (you sometimes can still do stuff, or maybe not. like edit about me. or maybe only for tempbans..) You can still log in even when banned, tho. unless account deleted, ig

it's for people who've lost rep privileges (permanently or temporarily). And it's also (as Chaos said) a duct-tape solution of sorts.

How did you find this?

You can hide your own posts, just click/press the three dots menu on your post and press hide and enter a reason if it prompts you and if you want/can. Note that I believe mods and/or admins still see it, but not us regular users.

They can completely wipe away an account, which is mostly used for bots, or they can simply ban someone. 

there's also a warning points system you can see on your profile. If you hit five, you get permanently banned.

Also yeah. You can also highlight to quote only certain sections. Though you theoretically can't get a quote inside a quote. (It's actually fairly easy to get around that)
