Not sure if anyone on at the moment read it first time around, but that feels like forever ago. It's a fantasy novel that I started for Nano 2014, currently 127k words and nearing the end (probably going to be 150k). I was just about to put it up on the Alpha Readers thread, but maybe I'll post a couple of weeks or so since it's quiet round these parts. What do you think? Edited September 21, 2015 by Robinski

The two who commented on my Prologue and Chapter 1 last week both have the Alpha Readers link, so I would like to try something slightly different. I'd like to submit a fight scene that I've just written, if there's anyone to read it! It'll be spoilerific for anyone reading 'Waifs and Strays' from the beginning (only very slight really, but Shrike and Molah may wish to give it a miss). I'll be seeking (if I can submit) comments purely on the content of the fight - not anything story related.

Comatose he/him Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Just to check in, and let you all know I haven't completely fallen of the wagon, I'm still chipping away at Chapter One of "Preparing the Emperor's Tea". The end of summer and the current semester hit me harder than expected, so my pace has slowed significantly. As things stand, I'm still hoping to get a chapter or two up before Christmas, but no promises. My load should be lighter next semester, so I hope to post more regularly next semester. Anyways, best of luck to everyone with their work, and thanks for being patient with my lack of consistency.

Comatose he/him Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Thanks! Hopefully this time the "next semester" thing will be true. I'll be involved in a clinical study program, with only one class a week, and the rest of my time spent working, so the reading and assignment requirements should be less onerous, and allow for more writing time (hopefully).

Maybe I'll try to squeeze it in this year too. >>; I keep saying I will every yera, and then I keep ... not doing that. On the other hand, I haven't done any planning yet, and I DID tell myself I was going to write that album first. Decisions, decisions. I would also like to submit next week but it might be on Tuesday. I need to get some momentum going again and I want to get this story done before november so i can do NaNiWriMo (it will be my first one). Good luck with NaNo! Submitting on Tuesday shouldn't be a problem, I've never gotten the impression from any of us that the occasional late submission is a problem. So, rdpulfer, Kammerite, and Robinski so far for Monday? I did just get another join request so we may have a new member who wants to post as well.
