Just giving a sign of life. Life had some rather tragic turns for me this year and I've been off the radar for a while. But now I'm back and I hope to be able to spend more time reading and critiquing here.

Currently I'm finishing the first draft of my 2014 NaNoWriMo novel. I submitted Elyse to Writers of the Future but got rejected. I got some idea of why and I'll probably resubmit a fixed version.

Nothing like getting in early, I'd like to submit the first circa 2,000 words of a short story that my daughter is writing, if you don't mind a 'sponsored' submission. It's her first semi-serious foray into writing fiction. If she catches the bug, I'll make her sign up!

Well, I can't play the trombone, but it seems to me that, so far, for submission tomorrow we have:

- Robinski's daughter (via the Robinski submission surrogacy)
