Uh, yeah I've been busy with life stuff. I'm always happy for an interaction. I was thinking that I'd stay on the Era 1 thread, and people can just go wherever.

Heads up that I’ve been busy these days and will be busy this weekend, but you never know I might still find a way to advance the plot

I know where my characters are going, and anyone who is in the garrison and doesn’t have a plan can stick around cause Ebon should cause a commotion when he breaks in

How we doing gang? Haven’t been seeing a lot of movement lately. I know @Hoid Slayer you were scheming up something, but it’s been a week since you posted and if you can’t get that thing going, any of us that are waiting on you should probably find another scene to occupy themselves with.

I concur. @Steel Speedster was really great at replying, but has lapsed for a couple days. I’m mostly just waiting for something to happen.

Yeah reminder for y’all that the light expectation is that you respond at least once a week (but you don’t have to respond faster if you don’t want to), and to let the folks your RPing with know if you are going to be inactive for more than a week.

I am not very familiar with that series, but I’m guessing you could use Hemalurgy.

You could say an Epic with teleportation like Obliteration somehow found out about this place (maybe a Cognitive Shadow told them?) and teleported to the CR, after which they got some powers from Cosmere planets before heading here

Heya! I’m interested in joining in on the roleplaying here again. My current existing character Eza was kinda involved in a plotline, but that was months ago and can easily be dropped. I think the other person involved went inactive. Does anyone have any ideas on how she could get involved? A common way she gets into situations is stealing/attempting to steal something shiny.

I could also make a new character if there isn’t a place for Eza right now. If someone could point me in the direction of a recap (I can’t seem to find the pinned thread reference in the AV guide post) that’d be helpful. I can also read the current era threads if recommended for catchup purposes, and likely will at some point soon.

Fenna is still active, so that plot-line is still open if you want. We’d just have to fill in some details, since it’s been a year in-universe.

That’d be great! My last Eza post had her trying to organize a meeting with Fenna, that could easily be handwaved away as not having happened. Skimming through the thread, looks like there’s prisoners around where Fenna is. It could be quite possible for Eza to have stolen something from the group keeping people captive and gotten caught (I’m not entirely clear on who they are). She could also have been detained for some other reason if that works better. Since she’s an iron savant (especially now that a year has passed), she’d be very desperate to break out as soon as possible to get access to iron again and would agree to just about anything to accomplish that. She’d also be able to offer a bribe. Do you think that’d be a feasible option for getting her involved?

I’m currently in an escape attempt from said prison, so I’d be fine with that. (You’d still have to ask @Steel Speedster though)

To summarize, this organization just held an underground recruitment meeting, which was infiltrated by Thav (one of my other characters) and Aradan (Qianweilan's character.) Fenna was also at said meeting, acting as security, and so was Saitaku (Mistfallen's character) as a potential recruit. Chaos broke out, and Aradan was captured. Saitaku was also briefly detained due to attacking other recruits during the confusion. From there, they were taken to their current location, where Saitaku was released. Aradan has just made a break for it in a bid to escape.

So, the only prisoners here were the ones just captured. We could have Eza be imprisoned here from an earlier point if we can think of a good reason that they would have left her alive instead of just spiking her. Like you suggested, she could have stolen something, and perhaps hidden it? They would then need to keep her imprisoned in order to try to get that information out of her. I could try to think of something that would be valuable to them.

My understanding of what canonically happened following era 8 is that New Hallandren cracked down hard on UFO, so we could just say as a result of that, Eza and Fenna both had to leave the district to avoid being arrested, preventing that meeting from taking place. Does that sound good?

Sounds good to me! Eza would definitely keep the location of her stuff hidden from the organization due to not wanting to lose it (one thing in particular).

Since Fenna is acting as security, I’m assuming she wouldn’t be willing to break Eza out, and for this to work Eza would need someone to break her out.

My character, you can see the sheet in the signup thread is you want, has “ideals,” wants “justice,” and other foolish heroic things like that. 

 

Yeah, if Aradan (my character) finds out where Eza actually is, he can attempt a rescue.
