Kane nodded in agreement, and then began to do ChayShan while Mace trained. It would grant him enough strength to do this. After he had suitably strengthened himself, he grew the battle suit. It was easy because his Aether didn't tire in this storm. He made sure to grow extremely beefy and tough legs so that the suit could take the weight. He left the open spot for Mace on his back.

"Climb on. Once you're on, start Nicrobursting me while I form the suit around you. Compound pewter to the size you like before you hop on so that you don't crack it by growing after jumping on. We'll start growing the warhammer, with you Nicrobursting and Duraburning to max our power output."

Wait a second.

Right now, BitBitio is the legs. Mace is forming the head. If you had someone control the arms...

You'd be Voltron

The Phoenix moved out of the way of one of the creatures, spikes granting her supernaturally enhanced speed even beyond what the Light gave her. Usually she wouldn't even bother to avoid insects like this, but several of them had begun aiming for the pieces of her soul, ripping them from her body.

She increased the output of her fire and Lashed anything that touched her back towards the ground, keeping herself in constant motion and surrounded by a storm of wind and flying rock.

A slash of metal in front of her face almost caught her as she pulled herself back at the last second, seeing one of the humans who'd begun this conflict. The others seemed to be pulling away but she'd track them down eventually. She would not forgive these indignities.

She snapped towards the one in front of her, but the storm around her did not allow for precise movements and it began to head steadily upwards. Well, if it wanted to take this above the storm she wasn't about to stop it. She would show this thing that the sky belonged to her, not humans who fumbled their way through the air like a newborn chick.

With a screech she followed it higher, and higher into the skies above the Alleycity.

I'm just kinda imagining one of those cartoons where two short characters hide in a trench coat, one sitting on the other's shoulders as they try to pretend that they are adult/human. It's a common trope. Shawn the Sheep? Minions? Phineas and Ferb? Mace and Kane.

"Ah Syen your back. From what my reports say you did a fabulous job with the illusion it works well to hide our troops, thank you." Tevarah turned around anxious for what he was about to ask. "I want- no I need you Syen to take over my army? Just for a little bit, I must go, I have things to be about, things I cannot speak of." Tevarah sped up wanting to get it over with, hoping not to give her enough time to say no. "Here are the passcodes and security phrases for the army <Redacted> <Redacted>. You may look at it as a test for positioning in the Ghostbloods, do what you wish with the army, but your actions will be examined when I get back. Thank you so much. I wish I could tell you more, sorry and goodbye." With that Tevarah stepped out of the tent and lashed himself away from the city he would be back soon...

[Kane and Mace get into a tandem battle suit.]

"Climb on. Once you're on, start Nicrobursting me while I form the suit around you. Compound pewter to the size you like before you hop on so that you don't crack it by growing after jumping on. We'll start growing the warhammer, with you Nicrobursting and Duraburning to max our power output."

Mace got comfortable at the top of the battle suit. He swallowed some more metalminds and vials of metals before beginning his task. He started nicrobursting and duraburning like Kane had asked. He closed his eyes and pushed with everything he had, throwing all of his power into strengthening Kane and making their weapon together. He closed his eyes and listened to the amberites growing, fusing together, expanding. He felt the weight of the hammer pulling them forward, but the large amberite boots kept them stable.

Quote

We might have to grow a tail to balance the weight of the hammer.

When Mace opened his eyes and looked up, he saw an awe-inspiring sight. In their arms was a massive warhammer. Its handle was thick and nearly as tall as a tree, it was topped with a blocky end the size of two wrecking balls. Mace grew a few spikes on the end to complete it. It took all of his enhanced strength to heft.

"Let's go smite some evil!" Mace called down. He looked down the alley, staring at the end, watching the writhing hordes of abominations move through the city in waves. This is how it ends for me, he thought. So be it.

Titan knew not what to do next, so he created a warp to Devaan. "What do you need me to do? I will do anything that does not involve my death."

Quote

This is fun! The cool part about writing this character is his warps are permanent, so when this is over these could be exploited. A ton of portals between alleys. They could be used to enemies advantage, or made into quick transportation.

Sure, let's grow a tail.

Kane added a tail to the back of the suit.

If you want to kill off Mace at 1000, maybe PM me what you want and I'll do most of the posting here?

*is genuinely hoping that this is NOT how it ends for Kane*

They moved down the street, with Kane calling out commands and helping Mace swing the hammer. They crushed abominations with sweeping blows, backhand strikes, and even by hefting it and pounding them into the ground. They did EVERYTHING. They tore through the streets, being generally invincible.

A group of Koloctopi, monsters Kane had personally researched, were capturing and killing any living thing they found. Admittedly, they weren't all that bright, but they were VERY dangerous. Most of them were just massive octopi with a lot of arms and a lot of muscle, but some of them could Compound strength, speed, and weight, as well as Steelpush and Ironpull. They were terrifying to fight and borderline-impossible to beat. The two TUBA members, friends from the beginning, and to now, the end, lumbered over and began to swing.

Quote

Time to fight Koloctopi!

Relevant info:

Koloctopus

Spikes: One that grants the ability to grow up to 40 arms, just below eyes. 2 human strength spikes in each arm. 8 mental fortitude spikes in head. 1 Allomantic Pewter spike under the arm-growing spike.

Koloctopus-Ultra

Same spikes as the other type, but twice as much of each, and two Feruchemical Pewter Spikes near the Allomantic ones. 1 Feruchemical iron spike next to its beak. And two A-steel spikes in eyes, two A-iron just to the sides. 1 F-steel next to the beak as well. AND SO MUCH BIGGER.

Dakhor monks started teleporting in around the city, KoTiel among them. Shocked they (KoTiel) looked at the burning city around them. In front of them, they saw bizarre monsters moving around. They knew what they had to do in order to save the city, but it still hurt them, breaking the first contract. Luckily enough though, their time with the Dakhor monks had taught them a few things about killing. KoTiel felt warmth collecting in their bones, and started running at the first being they saw. A wave of despair slammed into them, and they could feel it trying to get into their soul. "Emotional allomancy," KoTiel thought, shocked. "This was a lot more dangerous than they first thought." The power flowing through them helped though, and before the being could break through their soul, they had already reached it, and slammed their fist through its chest. The monster dropped down, stopping the feeling of despair. The other monsters had now noticed them though, and started coming after them. KoTiel turned towards them, ready to continue fighting.

KoTiel stumbled through the door of the Canton of Combat, tired, miserable and covered in blood. "Sorry I'm late," they said. "How can I help."

The Canton bustled with space marines, rushing back and forth. Scouts rushed in with battlefield intelligence, and battle squads mobilized to the front lines. Apothecaries carried horribly mutilated bodies, still screaming, in through the entrance. Chaplains bellowed prayers to the Emperor over the crowd, their vox-amplified voices ringing throughout the corridors.

Into this chaos stumbled KoTiel. A battle squad, their armor painted purple and gold, pushed past them into the storm outside. A chaplain, with black armor and wearing a golden helm shaped like a skull, came to a stop by KoTiel.

"You!" she snarled, pointing at the kandra. "There's a daemonic horde trying to break into the western refugee camps. Get your alien butt over there and help us stop them!"

Do you have anything specific in mind when mentioning daemons? Are you talking about 40k daemons, abominations or chaos marines?

Syen stared at Tevarah as he flew away and was struck speechless for a moment. He left? He left and told her to lead his army?
"Storms."
she muttered under her breath and looked again at the figure vanishing in the distance. That was not what she had expected. And it was nothing she was prepared for. She felt like screaming, like running away and hiding in a silent spot until this was over.
"Syen. Breathe."
Essun's voice was silent, and she did what she told her. Breathe.
"Calm down. That is not the time for an hysterical fit."
That was easier said than done.
"You can do this. At least you can try. You swore to help, did you forget that."
Syen closed her eyes. Concentrating on her breathing. Essun was right, this wasn't the time for her to be weak.
"No, I haven't"
She replied quietly.
"He wanted his army in the city. So I'll tell them to go there and then I'll ask someone where their needed."
Essun settled on her arm, a calming soothing presence.
"Essun, I can't do this witout talking to people I don't know. And I'm really bad at talking with strangers."
Her guards threw her a strange look and Syen shifted her weight uneasily. Without really thinking about it, she drew in more stormlight to sustain the illusions. There wasn't anything she could do to change the situation. Except running away and hiding. But if she was honest with herself. Then that wasn't an option.
"Tell them to move to the city."
She told Mio.
"I don't know the commands, but you do, don't you?"
She looked at him and he nodded.
"All right. Then you will translate what I tell you into commands they can understand."
She felt the eyes of the other two men on her back and imagined them grinning, making fun of her. And rightly so. When she looked around everybody was a better fit for this position than she was. But she would try, of course she would try. She'd neven given up on a patient bevor he was dead. In a very abstract way, this was the same. And there were helpless people in the city that needed the help of these soldiers.
"Tell them to move into the city over there."
She added, pointing to a section of the wall where Solace reserve had entered and where some the meekers had landed.
Mio shouted something and Tevarah's men changed their course, but Syen didn't really listen to what he said. She searched through her bag, opening some bottles, sniffing them and putting them back until she found the right ones. One for her head and one to stay awake. Drowning them she carefully stored the empty bottles again. Hopefully her headache would subside in a few minutes.
"Dispatch some men, to look at the streets and search for a mostly save way. We need to get to Solace."
Again Mio shouted something and then she saw men running towards to city. She didn't stop the rest and after a short while, way too short if you asked her, they entered the city. At first they followed the path the reserve had taken, then one of the runners came back and told them the general direction in which someone had seen Solace. A few of the men were already fighting, but she couldn't help it, the whole city was a battlefield. She could only pray that there was something left for Tevarah to take over - when he came back. Again she closed her eyes, pushed her terror and disgust away from her. She was here to help and she would do it. Even if she hadn't expected to take that role in this fight.

When she saw the man she had stiched together at the hospital ( @Nohadon ) standing next to Solace and some soldiers with glowing violett eyes she turned to Mio.
"Could you please count what we have left?"
The man nodded and turned away, shouting orders, telling the men to block the street. Still some of them were fighting, Tevarah's healers trying to save as many of them as possible. Not many would survive this fight. She knew that, as she knew the taste of peppermint.
Syen walked over to the man and Solace, one hand a death grip on her bag. Now she only had to talk to them. Taking a deep breath she realized, that she hadn't felt the need the to replenish her stormlight since they entered the city, since this storm was above them.
"You can do that, Syen."
Essun murmered and Syen walked closer, stopped before them.
"Tevarah gave me his army."
she stated, completely forgetting to greet them, of maybe tell the man her name.
"Where do you need his men most?"

KoTiel was running towards the west, wondering what the daemons were they were told to stop. Suddenly, they saw them. Bizarre creatures were trying to storm the barricades. KoTiel ran towards them, when one hacked at them with an axe and hit their arm. Ignoring the wound, KoTiel grasped the axe with their other hand and smashed it into the creature's leg. The creature surged forward however, trying to grapple them. Quickly, KoTiel moved backwards. "Harmony," they thought, frightened. "This was a lot more difficult than others made it look." As the creature kept going forwards, They smashed their shoulder into it, knocking it over. As it was lying down, they grabbed the fallen axe, and smashed it's face in. Sealing their wounds, they tightened their grip on the axe, and got back into the fight.

The Phoenix followed Soul into the sky. Far above the fighting that went on in the city.

“I’m sorry El. For what this will probably do to you.” Soul whispered. “Go help below. I will say goodbye, before it is done.”

El looked at Soul in sorrow. “Goodbye <Redacted>” She whispered, using Soul’s real name for the first time. Soul smiled slightly as he heard his real name for the first time in thirty years. El zipped back down the the ground in a stream of silvery liquid, while Soul continued to speed upwards.

I’ll use Elefthera to finalize things before killing Soul. And hopefully killing the Phoenix.

Taking a handful of cookies out of a pocket, Voidus began steadily munching through them.

Glucose was important for peak mental performance after all. He definitely wasn't addicted to cookies.

Good to know. I mean, *takes bite out of snickerdoodle (complete with laughter and creationspren) cookie* they do taste good, and provide lots of (un)essental nutrients and energy.

And thus the war ended, with the TUBA and Ghostblood forces finding out that all they needed to do was give Voidus cookies and he'd let the Hemalurgy thing go. :P

(Note: This is unfortunately not an actual viable option because Voidus can make his own cookies.)

The fallen daemon wailed, its body warping out of existence in a flash of energy.

The battle squad charged the wall of unholy monstrosities, shouting praises to the Emperor as they slammed into the daemons. Across the barricade, something leaped through the air, falling straight towards KoTiel.

BACK AT THE CANTON

A space marine in blue armor stopped in the middle of the hallway, noticing Max and Mara huddled in a corner.

"Kids?" he said, sounding, for some reason, extremely nervous. "What on Earth are you doing here?"

@I think I am here.

KoTiel was taking a breath, when suddenly they were slammed into the ground, some bizarre monstrosity on top of them, tearing at their stomach. In pure reflex, their flesh streamed away from the wound, trying to prevent more damage. Their Blessings keeping them concentrated, they reached upwards, but instead of trying to push the monster away, they embraced it, trying to get as close as possible, trying to encapsulate it. And as they did, they started to digest it. Screaming, the monster tried to get away, but KoTiel managed to hold on, until the monster started slowing down, and eventually dropped down dead. As quick as possible KoTiel went back to their body, and reformed. As they put their clothes back on, they noticed the hole. "Bother," they thought, but before they could do anything about it, screaming started, and they had to run back into the fight.

@BitBitio i don't actually know anything about why we are fighting, so I went unpredictable. One of her curses, I'm afraid. The Nightwatcher said bye-bye to her prefrontal cortex.

Naermen turned to see a gigantic suit thing swinging a hammer at hemalurgic monstrosities. She sighed. she would have growled, but she didn't actually like having a bunch of monsters running rampant. She decided she would wait for the suit to kill a few more, then she would fight it.

Titan grew bored of waiting. "I'm going to help the creature-that-has-no-form." He ran towards them, summoning a few of his axes. He would kill these abominations, they were not his.

@kenod, I'm joining you in fighting.

Mace and Kane swung the hammer, smashing a Koloctopus in the face. They lumbered forth, bashing everything within reach. Rusts, this is fun. Kane thought. They advanced down the streets, killing abominations like they were born to. Maybe we are. But, with all good things, eventually bad will come. Although they killed more Koloctopi and other abominations, Kane's ChayShan began to wane.

And then, he saw Naermen, squaring up for battle.

"Damnation!"
