it's a mistborn term   Basically it's someone/something specifically to kill allomancers - I think I can say that without spoiling anything for you if you've not read them

No worries, i've read all the Mistborn stuff! It's a very strange name now that I see it out of context heh. I suppose the haze part implies the mists, and "mistkiller" just didn't sound cool enough or something.

lol. perhaps.  Or maybe since those who killed allomancers don't want to be identified with the mists that give mistborn their name they wanted it different.  Remind me to steer clear of you if/when I rise to some allomancy rank...

Brandon himself isn't too fond of the name, but his writing group loved it, if I remember the annotations correctly. 

Also, I missed I337 :-( Oh well, I can Compound Gold to see my past self, and thus revisit my old rank!
