I heard in my ball PM at 11 a.m. yesterday, with a suggestion it would be around 8 votes on the target, though they weren't named. That's pretty close to what ended up happening to Arinian.

You forget that both I and Mraize both also said we voted for Arinian. If it were indeed Itiah organising the lynch, would you not suspect me and Mraize too? I mean, I practically suggested we all vote for Arinian in the Ball PM. It's sort of fishy that you want to ignore this, or even fail to mention it. 

 

In any case, I had my suspicions about Araris and Itiah, and while threatening is slightly new for me, atleast, to me, it's better than the alternative that Araris proposes. I'd rather be given a choice to let my role and alignment loose Vs death than have death forced on me. 

You do realise, Araris, that Itiah gave Arin a choice whereas you necessarily made your targets choose death. 

As it is, I may not be in capacity to make any more posts this cycle ( not that there's much of it left.)

@Mark IV What do you mean by suspicions of me? Really the only reason to kill somebody specific in this game is for their role, and it's been demonstrated that either you guys have no idea what my role is, or that my role is now defunct. I suppose I'm the only person that thought of lying about my House, which is why I got voted on in the first place, but that seemed like common sense and I'm surprised that nobody else did it.

It also seems like Itiah has a PM ability. Removing PMs deprives that House of the ability to do diplomacy, which means that large vote blocks like the one that killed Arinian are less likely to happen. Seems a lot more threatening than a possible injured Thug.

You say that the only only reason to kill someone is their role and then you say 

1. You went around claiming a false house because it was common sense because...? (If people are going to kill you for your role, why would they care whether you're Elariel or Hasting or Urbain)
2. You went around claiming some house. If it was a bad idea to claim your own house, how was it a good idea to claim any house if no one knows what houses are there?

You seemed to be the more duplicitous with your Urbain claim than Itiah here who's acting in relative straight lines. Now, that's just my opinion. 

When I said I had my suspicions, I meant I had my theories as to what was going on here.

The fact that you specifically mention your role is defunct is also suspicious to me as it comes off as you trying to downplay your importance in the same post where you mention Itiah's tineye ability. You seem to be desperate to survive even when you're not in the lead. Sounds like you've got something valuable there. (I know we're all desperate to survive, but I wouldn't trigger a trap just to diffuse it, so to say)

I looked up MR6 yesterday I think, and I'm fairly certain the House Urbain spies were an intentional part of the game, if I remember correctly. So I don't quite understand all the grievances going along with that whole controversy. But if what you say about Itiah in that night PM is correct, Bort, I'm probably better off going with Araris.

Mostly because there is a bit more to this game than killing people. The dynamics of this game would be different if we were given a list of the members of each House at the start. In the Ball PMs for example, say I want you dead. It would be risky for me to try and get multiple Houses to vote for you through that PM since I don't know if your House is present to reciprocate. But if I knew the House of each player, then it would be easy to find a PM  where a House is absent and use that to work against them.

Claiming House Urbain meant that nobody would know who I was working with, regardless of which Houses were revealed right away. If I didn't claim anything, then people would have suspected me of working with people that I wasn't. And it wasn't supposed to be a public claim. It was more of a way to start a conversation with someone, and the lie was a precaution in case the information was leaked.

Oh, I find you and Mraize highly suspicious after what happened in that PM, but I was trying to do the courteous thing and not call you both out when I'm not sure how things ended up with the votes. I had just heard about Itiah's supposed threat and got the impression Mraize had planned to change his vote. When the the threat came up again here, I simply pointed out I'd heard about it too.
