"I'm fine," said Bacon. "Surprised to have an ally in you, but not displeased!"

Bacon stared up into the sky, where stars had begun to blink out one by one. "I... don't know. I just don't know."

Deep within the Void, a power trembled. It had been lost for so long, but now... someone was calling its name. It stretched, following the beacon back into reality. Into the soul of the one who understood.

The Mantle of the Witherlord flowed into Malevolence.

---

"So," said Onyx. "It is done."

"...yes." said Bacon. He swallowed. "I... I failed. I couldn't keep it safe. I... I'm sorry." He bowed his head.

Onyx sighed. "No. This is my fault." He turned, black armor creaking, and faced Bacon. "You did the best you could. But I... I left it all to you. Like a coward."

He knelt down and put a hand on Bacon's shoulders. "These things are no longer your burden to bear. REST."

Bacon looked at Atlas. He looked at Eden.

"Remember," he said. "The world isn't such an awful place. Just... so long... as you have hope. And... remember to smile."

He gave the best smile he could as a demonstration.

"I'm so glad I could meet you."

And then he was gone.

Ben looked between atlas and bacon. Then froze.

Xino....ehp...5.1.2... did you... just kill... *my* comfort character? And atlas friend!? BACON? xinoehp512 im going to spawn in your house. And haunt you.

atlas saw him go. storm him. She thought. He told her that he wouldnt die. Even if she stayed. He gave her that tiny glimmer of Hope. But that went with him. She lost her smile a while ago and she couldn't get it back. "Ben leave."

ben blinked unsure of what she said. "Leave?"

"Yes, if you stay near me then you will only get hurt, so leave."

He stood up and walked to her. "Im not gonna leave you."

she stepped back. "That wasn't a request." And she blinked out of existence to the person she needed to fight. The reason her friend was gone. Malevolence, not the witherlord. She made a vow. A promise to get her revenge.

Somewhere, in a strange place with strange rules, a soft hiss was released from the shadows. "Rulebreaker." The speaker said, before stepping forward.

Violet energy arced and formed the head of a dragon, walking on two legs. "Fellow Guardian Center, it appears we have been betrayed."

A green flame ignited from nothing, surrounding itself in a pitch black shroud. Center arrived. "We will see about that... Perhaps it is time to revoke the consequences..."

Magenta cackled.

What makes you think he won’t still keep his oath?

Atlas appeared in the Void before the Witherlord. Around her, reality was consumed by a legion of withergeists.

”Here for revenge?” The Witherlord asked with an amused expression.

she nodded. "rebyl is the navigator. but what i can tell is this place is in ruins." she said looking at the ruined planet. it had rubble and rocks everywhere, like a huge explosion happened.

Ryna placed her hand on her Plotbook, and it flashed. "What do we do now?" Ryna asked, looking at the ruins with curious eyes.

Technically Malevolence is not dead. His soul is still there, as is his body, they’re just transformed by the Witherlord’s power. Other hosts have still existed, one has even survived being the Witherlord. Malevolence was a bit of a drama queen when it comes to evil and would say that he’s an entirely different person, but whether that’s entirely true is kinda up to interpretation.

seraphina appeared to atlas. Her light warded off withergeist, the same light Asher had.

Atlas nodded. "He took the last person i had." She said coldly. A blade slowly shimmered into existence the blade was,... just look in the spoiler, its got the pictures, of the blade. Behind her a crest glowed. "Let me kill Malevolence." She said grabbing Fallen Hero.

The Witherlord watched impassively. “I am not Malevolence. And it was not he who was responsible for Bacon’s passing.”

“True. And though I am not him, I was him. So I shall take responsibility for his actions.” The Witherlord placed Malevolence on his back, a sheath forming from shadow. “If you wish to fight me, I will allow it. But consider: if you slay me, you will merely win a continuance to suffering. Those around you will continue to suffer. Death will still plague this Thread. As long as life exists, so too will suffering.”

So does the witherlord need to fulfill the promise, then?

He is bound in that if he does not fulfill his end of the bargain, the guardians are free to hunt him down and try to kill him. Being the Witherlord, that will be a bit more difficult than just Malevolence.

They probably could if they reassembled Plot, or something like that. I don't really know what Plot is/what Plot was.

Possibly, although that would be a near-impossible task.

Ironically, Plot existed during a very not-plot heavy section of TLT. From what I remember, Plot was a villain that was in like two posts, whereupon he was promptly killed in another post, leaving behind his Blade, which bounced around between characters before eventually landing in Platypus’s hands, and eventually I made a character with a different Plotblade, and it kind of grew organically from there.

What would be the result of combining many Plotblades together?

And what's the opposite of the witherlord?

Hm. It could revive some fragment of Plot’s consciousness (which is already implied to have survived in some way by the Priest of Plot, Vengeance and some other hints), but I think a full revival of Plot is not possible. The Blade of Unity, which could theoretically have been used for such a purpose, has been shattered into like three separate pieces.

The opposite of the Witherlord was the Luxsprites, but they’re all dead or gone.

What specifically happened to the luxsprites?

Their civilization was destroyed, the most powerful of them were corrupted, and the rest were killed. The only surviving Luxsprite is no longer in the Thread, having vanished long ago.

Platypus is the last luxsprites, correct?

Is there a way for more luxsprites to be created similar to how there's ways to make more Withergeists?

"continuing to suffer? Is we somehow are able to find a place of peace, and ... be able to smile..." her voice broke. "Maybe then there could be a place to find where we can be happy." She tightened her fist around Fallen Hero. "Maybe im foolish! Maybe the only place we could find that is after we die!! If so im willing to go down trying." She held her hands infront of her.

No, he’s a weird chimeric thing that switches between alignments.

Without any Luxite around except for very trace amounts throughout the Thread, and without any Luxsprites to make more, it is very unlikely.

The Witherlord sighed. “I had hoped you would see the truth.” He raised a hand, and ten thousand dark blades formed from the void all around Atlas. “Child, I grow impatient. You have one more chance: serve me, or face the consequences of your own actions.”

Lightning struck as Magenta teleported into a valley. The miniscule two legs attached to the giant draconic skull stuttered for a bit. It was a bit of an ordeal, having two frail little legs and no other appendages. But Magenta had gotten used to it.

Center arrived next, falling from the heavens as a pale lime meteor. His signature black armor and cape formed around him, and he glanced back at Magenta.

"We needssssss the thirddddd" Magenta said softly.

"Yes. Perhaps it is finally time to ask the Third." Center agreed.

A thunderclap sounded and they were closer to a hut in the valley. It streamed orange lights from every orifice, with shadows moving inside. Center knocked on the door lightly. For the immense size he was, he managed to not knock over the wooden door.

A hunched over man wearing a moose skull on his head opened the door. Only one eye was open, and that eye was a bloodshot red.

"Caltrevas, at your service." He rasped. He glanced over at Magenta's strange bipedal form. "You really had'a bring that ol' fellow with ya, didn't ye?"

Center brushed the question aside. "Irrelevant at the moment. We have one enemy now, who has returned. The witherlord."

"The what? Ye gotta mutter a bit more coherent now, pal, or my brittle ears'll never hear the end o' it." Caltrevas responded.

Magenta scoffed. Very few characters would choose to disrespect Center like this, but Caltrevas was consistently the one who got away with it. "Put it simply," she hissed, "We need your earth-rending powers now."

"Well? Why didn't ye ask earlier?" He asked rhetorically. He pulled the door inside, and led the two Guardians inside. Center had to duck under the stunted stone frame, but Magenta had no problem getting in. He wiped some goblets off of a bench, and motioned for them to sit. Center sat down softly, taking over three-quarters of the bench. Magenta looked disdainfully at the offer, but then replaced it with a glare of disgust.

Center sighed. "We have a deal with the Witherlord. Perhaps, maybe..." He stiffened. "It is time to join him."
