Calano folded his wings around himself just before he hit the water, shielding himself from the impact.

He sank, and opened his eyes. The small purple bird was singing.

Calano dove after it, grabbed it, and swam to the surface. He surfaced, and used his wings as a buoy.

He held the limp bird, then gently pressed it's chest in a repeating rhythm with two of his fingers.

gotta go.

What I said about Ghanderflaffle being gandalf's brother.

Meanwhile Ghanderflaffle had finally defeated all the violent artifacts and falls unconcious afterwards.

The backstory stuff was probably very important and cool, something that could completely redefine the way Calano was seen by everyone around him.

Nameless decided to make a potential backstory.

The sea around Calano burned black. The sky was flecked with shards of light, expanding into brilliant explosions before vanishing back into darkness.

Calano thumped to the hard floor of the void, the bird in his hands.

"Nameless... what are you doing? Who's backstory are you crafting? Yours? Or are you making mine?"

Nameless stopped Narrating to glance over at Calano. "Well, I was trying to make one that might be mine, but it looks like you got a little sucked into it."

"Right," Nameless turned back to his Narration, eyes glowing. "Where was I again? Ah yes. Burning ocean."

The world was dying. This much was obvious to anyone who had eyes. Bart, however, had no intentions of dying with it.
