Luckily they hadn't been zombies for long, so they were done pretty quick.

This left them with a lot of free time on their hands.

So they decided to form an organization to take down the Dim Alley.

It was called the Bright Plaza.

Their emblem was a trombone.

And their creed was: "KILL ALL THE ALLEY DWELLERS!" (the cheese fungus had a slight effect on their minds)

But only a slight effect.

Those alley dwellers really had it coming. They'd been dominating the cheese black market for years.

Not to mention the whole zombification gig.

And the demonic rituals.

Really, the Bright Plaza were doing a public service.

But the dim alley didn't see it that way.

They'd been contributing heavily to the economy with their massive cleaning bill, after all.

And when they didn't pay, they had a good reason. It wasn't like they were bankrupt or anything.

Their soul-harvesting business was extremely lucrative.

They definitely hadn't been running out of souls to harvest.

Somehow, people never learned that going into incompletely-lit passageways always ended poorly.

And it wasn't like people were buying "soul protection" from demons or anything.

Mainly because the Dim Alley had long ago bankrupted the demon agency for all the souls they possessed.

Unfortunately, heroes did keep coming to attempt to "end the alley's tyranny" but that was just a minor problem.

And their souls always fetched higher prices on the greyish-blue market.

They all got defeated.
