The glare was blocked by a Line if Forbiddance

And bounced off and hit @Nameless.

Who was unaffected, because he hadn't just trod on the edgedancer oaths.

The sun glared down from the sky.

Lift pulled out her shardbat, staring down the two narrators.

The glare of the sun split the bat in two.

Causing it to reflect the sun directly into Xinoehp's eyes.

Except that there was no Xinoehp.

Lift went hunting for the tenth pancake. Hoid had told her to find it here.

"You mean this?" said the sinister merchant, holding up a velvet bag shaped suspiciously like a pancake.

Lift pulled out Nightblood to ask his opinion on whether the merchant guy was evil.

Meanwhile, Kelsier and Jasnah were searching for their precious, adopted daughter, Lift.

Lift wondered who the crazy people were. She recognized one of them as the scholar queen woman, but that other one was weird. Maybe they were looking for that copy of herself she had seen earlier.

She began sobbing from the shock of this revelation.

The real Lift offered a pancake of consolation.

Now the real question was, where had the Lift copy come from?

Dr. Who Octopus cackled evilly, a cloning machine behind him.

Then Szeth walked into the room.

An evil clone created by Dr Who Octopus.

[Rosharan A.C. he/him]

The cloning machine was set to random, so a neutral clone appeared after Szeth.
