Jaywalk he/him Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 3 minutes ago, Shard of Thought said: Kelsier's face fell, his posture slumping. "No," he said. "No, not another one... My son..." Even Jasnah's expression softened. She said nothing, looking down at her coffee, unsure how to react. "How did this happen?" she asked, her voice uncharacteristically soft. “Astral...the withergeists...I barely escaped with my life myself.” He shook his head. “But that doesn’t matter. I deserve to be dead.”

A pained one. "Kelsier, look at Jay. He is grieving. And you should be too." Kelsier shook, clenching his hands into fists. "I can't lose someone else!" he cried, frantic. "But you have," Jasnah said firmly. There was a long silence. "You don't think I'm angry too?" Tears streamed down her cheeks. "Max didn't deserve to die." Edited October 28, 2019 by Shard of Thought

I understand.”
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Kill, and they kill in return... whispered a voice from the past. Kill. And they kill in return... He shivered, phantom pain playing across his scars. Kelsier was old now. He'd lived a very long time. People died. They just did. He closed his eyes and let himself cry.
Jaywalk he/him Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 “I think I’d best leave now.” Jaywalk began walking towards the door.
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Kelsier didn't reply, but Jasnah nodded. "Yes. We need... some time."
Jaywalk he/him Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Jaywalk left the Kelsnah home, numb. He felt nothing. He opened a portal through the void. Where it led, he did not know, but he stepped through nonetheless.
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 This. Is. Why. Plot. Is. Awesome. Cool, emotional moments, in the midst of chaos. Sophie still doesn't get that... Me: HoW AboUT SoME ChaRACteR dEvELoPMeNT! Sophie: 1

Jaywalk he/him Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 That gave me... It wasn’t closure, but something else. It was powerful nonetheless. 1
xinoehp512 he/him Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 The lamp was going out. Bit by bit, its radiance was dimming. And with it, its protection. Xinoehp didn't remember where he'd picked it up. He didn't know how it worked. But, somehow, it had protected him from the withergeists so far. He'd thought reaching the top of the mountain would provide an answer. A path to take that would let him fix everything. But nothing had shown itself so far. And now the light was dimming. He didn't want to think about what would happen if it went out. 1

Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 Maybe he should hire another consultant.
xinoehp512 he/him Posted October 29, 2019 Posted October 29, 2019 The consultant he hired should work. Fate gazed at him with an unreadable expression. "You will pay any price?" "Yes," whispered Xinoehp. "Just let this nightmare end..." Fate smiled. "It is done. Or," he raised an eyebrow. "perhaps it will be done. Or maybe it has been done already. Which, only time will reveal." 2
Jaywalk he/him Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Apparently hiring consultants was the solution to everything.
FatherTiempo he/him Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Harthrum Whifflesnaffer III disputed this claim. So, naturally, he...
xinoehp512 he/him Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Are we going to do anything? remarked Aqua with a bored tone.
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 "No," SoT muttered. "Let's sit here and do nothing. Fade away, so the plot can't swallow us up forever..."
Zephrun’s Imperium they/he Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 ...for TVG, whenever she needed to make plot on TLT. That was, of course, why SoT was so afraid.
