no, really. Not for your eyes, please, unless you're Through the Living Glass!

I could, she admitted, but I have no idea how to harvest a core. Rebus wouldn't tell me how to, and I really don't have much experience with that. In theory Rirrom might still have a core, but it's more likely to be defunct if anything.

It’s technically got the omniscience of a narrator but doesn’t doesn’t always share its knowledge

its alr, sometimes I forget I am an adult

The plot suddenly thickens. Literally. Time in the space Inkwell occupies slows to a crawl, inexplicably.

Rirrom's core might be compromised because it's plot Insignificant, since he sacrificed his significance to reform a Plotblade. I doubt it'll be advantageous at all by nature to try his.

Who else is a Narrator on TLT? Ribbon asked, surely there has to be at least one easy picking amongst them.

Time passed - quite a lot of it. Cricket did not steal the Lost Pages, for in fact Cricket was nowhere to be found. And then he finally returned, bringing with him the first time since Bat tortured Symbol that Rebus was truly angry.
-

The nanomachines perished in droves, some finding their target only to be incinerated before the message even entered the network. The ones within the rest of his body continued to spread, but it barely mattered - their goal seemed out of reach.

Dark Cep grinned and leaned forward in the seat he had conjured for himself.

-

Asharak paused. He could destroy them, but that would simply remove a connection. He refocused the attention of the Mindscape, and began attempting to use its power and his own Narration to corrupt the nanites, infecting them—not to turn them completely to his side, but to be safe from harm from them, and perhaps use them to spy on Rebus's network and maybe even his thoughts.

9/10mmHB#2 beats Cleo in a game of tic tac toe. She chirps in an angry sort of way. She is growing more and more sentient with every bit of inspiration Inkwell collects. That won’t be a problem.

Time resumed its normal pace for Inkwell. “I’d be disappointed if you didn’t want to work with me, but you have no obligation. I’ll leave you be, try and survive as best I can, and deal with other problems. In the meantime, you can always rely on me for an extra hand, though I don’t know how much help I’ll be.” He turned to watch the sunset. The valley wasn’t spectacular, but it was inspiring nonetheless.

"What do I want..." Desolation scratched his chin. "I have no need for false Narrator promises, or the powers of Narration. I already have a Plotblade that lets me see the future and protection for my people."

The Guardian released his grip, his flames regathering to his face. He nodded. "I expect it to be delivered here, by page 4475."

With a thunderclap, the Guardian and his Plotblade were gone in an instant.

"I offer you a way out?" Desolation laughed. "It sounds like you have promises to break. You want me to break them for you, so you don't feel worse?"

"How are you... going to bring them justice, exactly?"

"I wish to offer you a gift. Half my power. My Narration. My life-blood itself."

4 hours ago, DragonHeir said:

“A physical piece of whatever it is Desolation is composed of - ink, I suppose - would be best, but if you can be around as Desolation absorbs a significant quantity of Narration, that would suffice.”

Rebus launched forwards, a pillar of utility fog propelling him into the air at slightly more sedate - and efficient - speeds.

Jack gulped. Maybe money would be a problem after all… “Like I said, we are travelers - cressmarks aren’t in use where we’re from. Anything else you’d take?”

Atreides nodded. "I am seeing to it already."

3 hours ago, NameIess said:

“And that be the problem!” Exclaimed the High Priest of Current Events. A shudder ran through the man, causing him to drop the sacred glass of Currency. Coins spilled in all directions, but the High Priest ignored them. His eyes had begun to glow with a radiant light, and when he spoke, his voice was followed by the echo of a thousandfold holy chorus. “I proclaim unto ye’, oh foolish and self-absorbed one. No Protagonist shall arise till all awaitin’ be done, and those who fight for good get to adoin’ instead. Oh ye, most lowly of worms, ye who serve a shattered god, know this: ye shall weep tears of bitter sorrow afore the Protagonist appears, but those tears shall be naught if both fell Blades are not giv’n up!”

The woman snorted. “Well, what d’you got?”

The High Priest trembled in pain. "Oh, ye fool." he whispered. "You serve no god, but the Inklings themselves. You are a beast of darkness."

He drew himself up to his full height. "Four thousand pages of tradition are not to be overrided by a mere single prophecy."

"As for Protagonist . . . only I know its secret location, and I have sworn to never share the location of that sacred temple, where I was consecrated with a piece of Plot himself."

I can confirm that neither Inkwell nor 9/10mmHB#2 are ever going to show up and start going after Protagonist.
is there a third party aligned Plotblade? Like Ekko from Arcane?
