Malevolence deflected the Guardian's blow with Darkseeker's blade, stepping inside the being's guard to jab at him with the spike at the end of the axe's handle.

The Guardian laughed and then the entire scene went completely dark.

And then, a pale green flame flickered.

"At last. The prophecy has been fulfilled."

The Plotblade went thrusting through he backside of Malevolence, poised straight through his heart.

This time, Malevolence did not teleport away. First, he breathed in sharply and began to glow with stormlight, causing his wounds to begin pulling closed. Then, lightning struck him. Or around him anyways, as a result of a suit of armor teleporting onto him. The armor was sleek, covering Malevolence from head to toe. With a hiss of air, the armor sealed its joints. Excellent. His voice spoke into Fog's mind. The connection remains. Can you feel the shadow within you? You took it into your soul of your own volition. It will be quite difficult to remove. The dome of air formed above Malevolence, but his armor withstood it easily. With a whirr of motors, he took a step forward and engaged the Guardian.

Actually it would be the Guardian that would have to die, he's the reason Malevolence and everyone else can't leave.

An army of 500 drones appeared and began decimating the demons with holy water guns. One of them aimed a regular gun at 9/10 and began firing.

I teleported away from it just fine. I don’t see what’s keeping you guys there.

9/10mmHB#2 changes the song. At first it is unrecognizable as anything but a rhythm. An awry, awful rhythm that shakes everyone to their core; the rhythm of Anti-Stormlight. As the drone begins to fire on it, it cuts a hole through reality and begins creating rifts in the sky, shredding the fabric of reality, falling through the air and spreading Teostra powder around the drones. It lands, sparking the pen against the sword again, and the drones fall to the explosion, though the majority of the demons have fallen.

inkwell is powerful with the pen but weak with the sword, 9/10 is the opposite.

NO! she cried.

She swarmed against him and turned to metal, encasing and locking up his joints so the others could strike.

She was shaking, however. The Corruption had spread too deep now.

... Fog! How... How can I help you? Ribbon said. She tried to shake the tingling feeling of the Corruption from her head. It was technically half of her core, so it made sense.

Her breathing intensified.

"That would be quite intelligent, if my Nullite armor did not stop those vibrations entirely!" Instead of more drones, already-fired bullets teleported in, aimed at the 9/10's general area. Holy water streams also appeared to destroy what few demons remained.

Wouldn't be much of a loss.

She turned back to mist and drifted to the floor.

You were once known as Mist. Malevolence communicated. You adventured with Amethyst, whom I suspect was Stone, and one other. Your original name, if you had one before mist, is lost to me. I cannot read memories that deep through such a weak connection.

Listen to my voice, Fog.

Ribbon started singing a slight tune.

The plot slips away from 9/10mmHB#2 as its author disappears to spend time with his family. When it returns, Malevolence is completely unaffected by the Anti-Stormlight rhythm, and Fog has collapsed into a pool on the ground.  Time slips back into regular speed, and it manages to cut a rift that diverts most of the bullets harmlessly into the sky, except two. One hits it in the right ankle, the other strikes it in the upper part of his left arm. It grits its teeth. Ribbon is here, talking to the thing that is no longer Fog. Just have to buy some time… The pen only has a little ink left. It clutches its arm and limps towards Malevolence.

curious, how does nullite work?

Uh, what. Rude.
9/10mmHB#2 diverts the flame with Futility. Barely. He is too determined to be killed by something like a random flame.
