NAW IT WONT TRUST

sensing someone was nervous and needed help figuring out how to join atlas appeared next to @Ryn’s character of their choosing. “Heya stranger!” She said happily presumably looking up. (For desc of atlas see my Roleplay character drawing album!)

if something is cannon then have it bolded.

Unintelligible gripped Endings. Its power flooded him, demanding to be used. To bring Ending, decay, death. He shivered, and the rational part of him was terrified of that power. There was a reason Nameless gave this to Moni, he realized. She's the one who could control it. Storms, what is wrong with this Plotblade? Endings shouldn't be like this. Endings should be good with bad,  not just.... destruction.

It was a small part of him that thought this, for the rest of Unintelligible burned with anger. Ivisyre had stolen Sequence's Narration. The only reason, he was sure, that Ivisyre had not killed Sequence outright was that her wound would surely soon kill her without Narration to sustain her. He growled, taking a step forward and beginning to raise Endings to accept Ivisyre's challenge. He would kill that monster here an now, save Sequence, and-

The power of Endings, spreading outwards from Unintelligible, hit Resolution. For the briefest moment, the two Plotblades thrummed, vibrating in resonance with one another. In that instant, both Unintelligible and Cadewyn saw the Ending would come of fighting Ivisyre: Death, for both of them. Ivisyre triumphant. Too inexperienced with the Plotblades they wielded, Unintelligible and Cadewyn would fall before the might of Ivisyre, wielder of darkness and Inversion, Narrator. They could not win. Not here, where Ivisyre was most powerful. Both of them would die, leaving Sequence powerless, vulnerable, alone.

The moment ended, and the power of Endings recoiled from Resolution. The bubble of decay that had been spreading out from Unintelligible vanished in an eyeblink, leaving him gasping, holding a tiny, rusted dagger. What... what just... Unintelligible shook himself. Feeling a coward, but also knowing this was the right decision, he slammed Endings back into its sheath, and after hesitating for a moment longer, tossed it back to Moni.

"Cadewyn!" He called. "We're leaving! There's... there's no use in getting ourselves killed here." He glanced around. Ryver had taken Sequence and run, which was good. But where had he gone?

A portal split the air in front of Unintelligible, opening into a house, where Sequence and Ryver sat. Unintelligible frowned, confused, but ran for the portal anyways. Just outside the portal he noticed a cage, which he grabbed before dashing through.

@KnightSkye Reforged

Malevolence's grin faded. "And what, pray tell, would my motivations be for that?"

"Excellent!" Lyric looked around the room, grabbing Jack's hand. "Follow me deeper into the mall? Or shall we exit, assuming that the Sage does not wish to see you?"

"Power. Legacy. To stop Rebus from getting it. A bargaining chip. It doesn't necessarily matter. So why don't you go turn your recruitment elsewhere?"

Erdikan watched this all occur with increasing concern. Upon Erryin and Rebus's disappearance, he instinctively grabbed           by the wrist, eyes flashing. "What did you do?"

Ah. So the place reacted to his thoughts, it would appear. As Taeidin pieced together this conclusion, he reached for the next orb.

Gotcha

Kore looked at the stranger, clearly on edge. "Hello," she stated, wearily, "Do you know where, exactly we are? I think there's been some mistake."

"I'd like to look around first. Besides, with his anxiety levels he'd probably drop dead before either of us could get in a word of explanation. Don't even get me started on Sundew and his endless string of questions."

Oh sorry

The orb swirl and coalesces into an image of Cep—slightly younger than he appears now. Then the image starts moving and speaking.

"No!" he screamed. "What did you do to her?"

"I sent her somewhere she won't bother us again," says a voice from offscreen.

Cep seems to freeze, glaring at the origin of the voice. Then he seems to start vibrating, producing multiple overlapping images.

One image peels off and out of frame, and the brief glimpse that can be caught of it reveals that it resembles both Cep and Asharak. Then...the image cuts out.

No seriously you're fine

Taeidin watches the images play through. This is what he came for. Asharak was split off because of some sort of trauma involving this woman being sent away. So if she could be brought back, then perhaps he would see reason. Or maybe he could be convinced, without her actually returning. Either way, he was done here.

Taeidin looked around for a way out. When he got back, he would have to see what he could pry from the Father about this person.

And don't you dare say sorry again

Convenient. Taeidin opened the door and stepped through.

How major of a detour are we talking about

Briefly through the Door-Way. Also fitting because the woman in question is in there at the moment, though I'm about to extricate her from Coder's stalled plot.

That's kinda what I figured

Go ahead

But you will have to forgive me if I do what I am contemplating right now

Cadewyn raised Resolution at the same time as Unintelligible raised Endings and saw the same vision. He could not win. Not and keep Eepy alive. He growled, a harsh rattling sound no normal human could make. "Come on Eepy. He need to run." He tucked her under his coat and leapt after Unintelligible, flapping once to get through the portal. As he passed over Ivisyre, he spat at him, disgusted. As he passed through he set ablaze the deck they had been on in blue fire.

___

Ryver started as he felt a pulse through many worlds. He turned from Sequence and thoughts of KnightSkye, and ripped open a new portal back just in time for the others to come through, Cadewyn causing some chaos in the small apartment with his huge wings before he got them folded back.

Sequence looked up with a start as they stumbled through, and was immediately overwhelmed with relief. She struggled to her feet and tried to stumble towards Unintelligible, but cried out and collapsed immediately.

Unintelligible dropped the rabbit cage and caught Sequence before she hit the ground. “Are you okay?” He winced. “You’re obviously not okay. I… I’m sorry. I should’ve known Ivisyre would… I should have stayed and fought… I…” he hung his head. “I’m sorry, Sequence. I… I thought I could be a hero.

"Unintelligible!" River said, "Tell me truly, can she survive without her powers?"

A man looked up from where he had been resting on a stump, shocked. He quickly signaled to the others to gather around him. They came, concerned at his expression.

"We've found him."

"What, now? This is a horrible time!" one responded.

He sighed inwardly. Yes, with Erdikan not here right now, the timing was certainly not advantageous. But if they didn't act, they risked losing him again.

"We must return. I just spoke with First, and she thinks she can get us there, as it is a particularly hard to reach location." He paused just a second. "Everybody, to me."

Within instants, they all had faded out, leaving no trace other than the two pulsing black spheres floating overhead, which soon winked out as well.

This isn't meant for interacting with; it's just a sort of cutscene.

Sequence clung to Unintelligible, shaking her head over and over again. "No... No no no, you made the right choice, I-" Her voice broke and she wrapped her arms around him tightly. "Not worth... the risk..." She said slowly, sounding exhausted. She let out a shuddering sigh of relief, trembling a bit less now. "You are a hero... I'll- ... I'll be okay. You've fought for me too much already..."

"I know you dont care." Their voice crackled and they tightened the knife. "I know you push down your care because you want to be the bad guy. I read what our authors said. Besides even if you didn't care anything about me. I studied what dark Cep did to show my worst fears. Now I will do the same for you."

the world around them fades and infront of them rebus' worst fear plays out.

[Now you get to describe this!!! Preferably in detail so I can -take mental notes- have fun wa.. thats not good either so I can.... wwtch..]

Rebus had been forgotten. Nobody cared about him. Even his Author had stopped writing him, and Rebus was slowly disappearing from even his memories. Rebus floated in the void of nothingness, then frowned. “I exist. So I haven’t been forgotten.” The vision broke, then returned. Rebus was forgotten, unwritten- “I’m here. I’m still existing. This is a vision.” The vision shattered again, trying to make Rebus experience nonexistence. Rebus was- “No.” Rebus was- “This isn’t real.” Rebus- “I’m being written more because of this.” Rebus- “I already experience oblivion all the time.” Rebus- “This will do nothing to me.” The vision gave up, trying to find a fear that would work. Rebus was being ignored. His Author wrote him, but nobody cared - his plotlines stalled and died, few Author still remembered who he was. And even his Author had less time, less interest - each attempt to start something new was more spread out than the last. Rebus tried - he tried to attack the new plotlines, he tried to get people to make new characters for him to talk to, he tried to get his Author to write adventures for him and post them to the Thread, he even tried turning good. Nothing worked, and nobody cared. The Thread was becoming sporadic - no activity for days and days, then a burst of posts Heir never managed to read all of before everyone was gone. And then even those started to fade, the gasps of the Thread, dying after all these years. And Rebus watched, and tried to stop it. Nothing worked. He watched the end of his world, straight-backed, tears in his eyes - and he would never know that it was The Longest Thread’s very last post.

Named collected his tiny amount of paryl into his left thumb, then absently began moving through the rest of the spectrum in order. Sub-red on his index finger, red on his middle finger, and so on, tightening his eyes to get to superviolet and chi. Only his right thumb had no colour.

9 colours. 10 fingers.

Named was very annoyed at that last finger.

*twirls knife innocently*

I think that metaphysically, the number of colors has to be odd - the way color imbalances work in the book demands it. Rebus could, however, give Named three arms - either three fingers on each hand, or adding in the allomantic metals so there can be seven on each hand.

Rebus watched Named, truly unsure of what to do until the last general could be killed. The one with a dagger was being consumed by the Von Neumann Machines, unless otherwise noted.

@Sequence “If only there was someone with enough magical power, combat capability, plot armor, and cleverness to take on Ivisyre, who might conveniently be magically forced to keep promises and could be paid with a particular piece of paper he’s going to end up with anyway.” Rebus mused aloud, clearly directing his words to a certain Narrator.

@Sherma Main Rebus blinked, having been frozen trying to walk through itirSp’s portal for several pages now. Sain was still a half-dead pile of Strands on the floor, and the Plague was spreading through the air, infecting the utility fog.

@TwinStorm,” Rebus said. “You stated you’d post something for Cricket some time ago. If you’re still working on that, carry on, but if desired, my Author can write up something for the beginning of the duel.”
