Sequence squinted again. "... Ohhhhh! I remember now, yes!" Sequence laughed and facepalmed. "Well, can I get you something to drink? Come, take a seat!"

"Aaaatttlllluusss.." Sequence repeated with a thoughtful nod. "Wonderful!" She stood up and gestured around. "I built this cabin myself, with just my hands and a little help from friends. I like to throw parties here! Say, how many pages old are you? The last party I threw was on the three-thousandth... Quite a while ago, now that I think about it."

Sequence waved her hand, and a steaming kettle floated into the air and poured its contents into a cup at the coffee table in front of the sofa. A small baking sheet, which had some dough sitting on it, began to heat up out of nowhere, and the dough was baked into a loaf of bread within seconds. "Please, help yourself! There's plenty to go around."

Sequence nodded, frowning deeper. "I see... Well- ... I think I do hope he returns sooner rather than later. For your sake, and for his. I hope his mind can be changed. I still think of him as a friend."

"Changing his mind would be ideal...I do not know if any of us are equipped for that level of therapy, though."

Erryin, along with all of the other guests, found themselves standing on a large wooden porch of a large wooden cabin, which sat on the edge of a beautiful lake that sparkled in the light of the setting sun. In every direction, titanic crystalline mountains were visible far in the distance.

Sequence and Aelinor were sweeping the deck with old straw brooms, and they looked up when Erryin appeared.

"Ah, welcome!" Sequence exclaimed, dropping her broom which puffed into smoke as it hit the floor, and made her way over to the guest. "It's good to see you..." Sequence leaned closer and squinted at Erryin. "I... Don't believe I recognize you! Lovely to meet you, I am Sequence." She gives a little bow and offers her hand in greeting.

Atlas also found herself on the same porch! Sequence has mastered the ability to split her focus and consciousness like an AI to greet multiple guests at once (:P), so a copy of her appeared to greet Atlas.

"Hello!" She said brightly. "I certainly have not met you before!" She gave a little curtsy/bow. "I am Sequence, and you are?"

Sequence made yet another copy!

"Hello again, Asher! Good to see you." Sequence said brightly. "How have you been doing?"

"Ah, lovely to see you, Cep!" Sequence said. "So glad you could make it! How have your travels been?"

"Oh, lovely! Another new face!" Sequence bowed to the newcomer. "Hello! I am Sequence! Who might you be, new friend?"

Through all the greetings, Aelinor stood and glared at just about everyone, hand on the pommel of her sword in its sheath at her side.

"My name is Freedom, and I'm immortal. Do you know where any stars are?"

“I do, yes!” Sequence sat down in a wooden rocking chair on the other side of the coffee table, gesturing towards the sofa. Another kettle that sat on the coffee table rattled a little bit, and then began to pour some lightly steaming hot chocolate into a cup.

Sequence nodded along as Atlas spoke, smiling warmly. “Wow.. Nine and three whole quarters?? That’s almost ten!” She exclaimed with a laugh. “How exciting.” She added, smiling. Her smile quickly faded and she frowned slightly, looking around the small party. “Do you… Have a parent with you? Nine and three quarters is very old, of course, but… A bit young to be all on your own.”

Sequence nodded, then paused and cocked her head. “Two? Hm.. Ah yes, the four-thousandth… I don’t believe I hosted, but I did help!” She paused again and scratched her head. “I don’t have many memories of that party… I’m afraid I was rather absent.”

Sorry about the format, it’s a lot harder to reply to individual slices of messages on my phone :P.

“Freedom! That’s a lovely name.” Sequence said brightly. “Why, of course!” She pointed to the quickly setting sun in the distance, only a sliver of it visible over the horizon. It was quite large. “Our very own sun, a lovely red giant that I’ve named Ima.” Sequence turned her head to the sky, squinting. “Hmm… It’s still a bit bright out, but you can just barely see a few stars above. Oh! There’s Fuzzy’s constellation!” Sequence pointed straight up at the sky above, pointing at a vague scattering of dim stars just barely visible in the haze of the setting sun. “Don’t worry,” Sequence said with a laugh. “I’ve checked all the stars nearby, and they’re real.” She leaned closer. “I’ve been to a couple places before where the stars were spying eyes.” She whispered softly with a shiver. “Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!”

No activity since Saturday?? Oh dear, this will not do...

Sequence decided it was time to throw another party! Not as a page milestone, but... Maybe just for fun? That's allowed, right? Surely... Ah, well, Sequence is a Narrator, she can do what she wants!

While Sequence and Aelinor swept the floors of the lakeside cabin with the extra large porch for parties, Sequence began to formulate an invitation in her head.

Dearest dwellers of the Longest Thread, it's me again! I would like to invite you all to a gathering, a party of sorts! Just for fun, you know? There are many new faces on the Thread whom I have not met yet! I'll brew lots of tea, and provide other such refreshments, and we can all get a chance to relax and catch up! I'll be hosting on my world, of course, which anybody can access by simply looking up to the stars, and declaring,
'Great Elephant and Thread, take me to safety, take me to solace. I promise no violence and I promise civility, grant me entrance to Sequence's world.'
I hope to see you soon!
With wishes of love and good fortune,
Sequence

This just came in.

Erdikan started as the voice rang in his mind. He had not been expecting a communication today, especially since the traitor seemed to be getting further and further out of their reach. He waved to the others to carry on, taking a moment to go over the message.

A party, already? he thought back. Erdikan glanced down at his watch. No, there was still a while until 500 pages. Why?

Presumably because of the stalling activity, came the reply. You know how this has been frustrating us. It appears that the Authors have finally decided to try to fix it.

Erdikan mulled this over for a moment. Yes, that made sense. He knew most of the other contingents had been struggling with this, although his own was failing for precisely the opposite reason.

And what do you want me to do with this information? Erdikan asked back.

I want you to go.

Surprise. It must have showed, for those nearest him looked at him inquisitively. He shot them a glare, and they hurriedly looked away. They knew better than to question him.

Are you sure? I do not think gaining Authorship is wise.

Yes. Things happen. Plans change. The time for hiding will soon be over. I am going to push for us to meet our goals - and that will require most to gain Authorship at some point. Two will be held in reserve, just in case. Besides, he heard her laugh, a light, jovial sound, by having this conversation, you have probably gained it already.

He took that in stride. Nothing he could do about it now.

But, what of my current task? he protested, already knowing the answer.

Are you close?

Erdikan sighed. He had been so very close, a while ago. How he had let the opportunity slip through his fingers still puzzled him. But now... Not at all.

Then you know what you are to do.

The communication ended. "Stop," he called out, and the others gathered around him. Erdikan pulled back the hood of his cloak, and several of them averted their gaze. He knew how they saw him, with his head streaked with gray lines and his eyes, an inverse black orb with a white pupil shining out from the center. "I am leaving," he announced. "You are to continue as you do now." Erdikan held out a hand to the side, and in it formed two spheres, pulsing a shadowy red. "And as I can no longer guide you, I will leave you with two Watchers. I expect they will be put to good use." The Watchers shot away from him, screaming, an unearthly noise. Smiling, Erdikan observed as those around him gave chase, following after the Watchers. He pulled back up the cowl of his hood and strode a distance away. He did not necessarily like the change, but he trusted her assessment that it was necessary. And so, he would adapt.

"Great Elephant and Thread, take me to safety, take me to solace. I promise no violence and I promise civility, grant me entrance to Sequence's world."

Taeidin paused as he noticed Sequence's message, frowning. By his estimations, only 200 or so pages should have passed since the last party. Maybe the Authors had been far less productive than he thought. However, he could not go; his work was here currently. Taeidin continued walking.

After a time, he comes straight to a left-right split. Rather than turning into the split, the split occurs perpendicular to the corridor.

Do you want erryin and cep to see each other once the music and actual party starts? Or do you want to talk to other more people who are there before erryin.

Ironically the other people,e are one of coders characters and then two more of mine

She sighed, rubbing her eyes for a moment, before plastering on a smile. "Perhaps I should start a vinyl collection... I have a player, but only one record." A sort of trapdoor in the floor nearby opened, and a vintage looking gramophone rose from within, sitting atop a small wooden table. The handle on the side wound itself up, and the needle dropped and it began to play. It was a soft, peaceful orchestral piece, and it would likely be unfamiliar, as Sequence had created it herself.

"I'm a bit rusty on my history, but... I believe I was the first. A horrible amalgamation of withergeist and Narrator... Completely under the control of the Witherlord himself... This was many pages ago, and I've long since been... Liberated." She sighed. "But anyways, when I... Bonded my withergeist, that's how it was done. I was forced into my own Mindscape to meet with it. It was... Bad."

Sequence nodded, looking up at the growing amount of stars in the sky with a fond smile. There was no moon, as Sequence's world didn't have any, but she understood Freedom's meaning. Some portions of the night sky on the horizons appeared to be obscured by unimaginably large black clouds with some faint splatters of color, mainly dark purples and reds, especially lining the edges of the clouds. They didn't move, and there were a scarce few stars in front of the clouds.

Sequence nodded, shivering slightly at withergeist. "Pyk?" She asked, tilting her head. "I... Don't believe I'm familiar."

“Huh i suppose he isn’t much of a party person. He is authored by Spirit i think? Im not to smart on that stuff.”

Do you want erryin and cep to see each other once the music and actual party starts? Or do you want to talk to other more people who are there before erryin.

Ironically the other people,e are one of coders characters and then two more of mine

Uhh idk, lemme see if there's anybody important

Sequence grimaced. "Well... I suppose I don't really know how it happened. Have you heard of a Narratorgeist before?" She asked with a somewhat hollow look in her eyes. It was... Bad."

"Oh, that's awful!" He pauses. "Wait. Bonded?"

erryin stood and sat near sequence. “Hey are you really ok? You seem to be… well overworked or … something.”

She looked up, blinking a few times, then smiled, once again somewhat solemnly. "Yes... Yes, I'm okay. Just thinking about lost friends." She shook her head. "No use dwelling on it!"

Yeah i i get that. And that tends to be most peoples reactions

Sequence laughed, placing the basket on another coffee table that sat next to the railing that overlooked the lake. "Please, help yourself." She frowned again. "Atlas, do you have.. a home? A place to stay?"

Sequence nodded. "That's how a Narratorgeist is made. A Narrator bonds a withergeist, letting its mind and its... destructive temperament into their soul." Sequence shivered. "The memories are very vivid."

She thinks. “Uhhh i dont think so. Im a nuanced.. no nowmand, a nomad. Nomad thats right.” She puts her hands on her hips. “Adventurers dont need a place to stay!”

Asher nods. “I mostly come because i like the rule of peace here. And its nice to watch even enemies talk as if friends.”

Sequence frowned, slowly sitting down in a wooden rocking chair next to the balcony. "Even adventurers need to take a rest sometimes! Sit down and have some tea, eat a hot meal, get a good nights sleep... If you ever need any of those things, you can always come here."

Sequence smiled, seeming proud. "Yes, that's my favorite part too. I like to envision that discussions, treaties, and perhaps trials such as that of the Great Wizard, could be held here. A place of peace and objectivity."

Sorry for how long it takes me to respond! You all type so fast compared to me :P

"I, too, may be able to help; if I could lure him into a Mindscape, I may be able to convince him. My powers out here are limited, however, and I fear simple words will not be enough. He must be shown."

After a time, he comes straight to a left-right split. Rather than turning into the split, the split occurs perpendicular to the corridor.

Taeidin takes it left.

2 hours ago, Sequence said:

"Greetings!" Sequence said brightly as Erdikan found themself on the large wooden porch of a large wooden cabin, which sits on the edge of a glistening lake. The porch was lit by soft lantern light, as the sun has finally set on the horizon. A slight red glow still remains, but the stars have finally come out.
"I don't believe I recognize you... I'm Sequence!" She extended her hand in greeting. "And you?"

Sequence smiled, a bit solemnly. "How right you are... Well, I hope you know that you're always welcome here, any time, any reason."

Sequence stared at Atlas, eyes wide. "... I.. I see. Ben, you say? Is he still around? Does he look after you?" Sequence seemed to grow worried. Poor child...

Sequence nodded. "I vaguely remember... A fight, I think? Withergeists? Or... Or maybe that was something else. What do you remember?"

Sequence's smile faded, and she got a sort of distant look in her eyes. "... Some that don't exist anymore, some that do." Sequence grimaced and rubbed her temples gently, as if trying to ward off a headache. "I have such a hard time remembering... Terrible places." She shook her head and sighed, smiling again. "I much prefer real stars, don't you?"

Sequence nodded. "I would like to help... If I can. I... I don't know much about Mindscapes, I'm afraid... The last time I entered my own was against my will." She looked down at her hands, brow furrowed. "But," she said, looking up. "I'd certainly be willing to try."

Erdikan took a moment to look around, then shook her hand. No point in lying now. "You may call me Erdikan."

Once again, without turning the corridor branches into a left-right split.

"All the more reason to prevent Rebus from reaching his goals." Sequence said with a slow nod.

"I do! He's quite a nice fellow." Sequence gestured to the other side of the large balcony, where an apparition of Sequence stood speaking to Cep. "Don't mind the other me." Sequence said with a dismissive wave of her hand. "I've gotten quite good at multitasking. Perks of being a Narrator!"

"You're more than able to, if you wish! There's plenty of room. Planets do tend to be rather large." Sequence chuckled softly to herself. "I could help you pick out a place for a home, if you'd like, and of course, you'd be willing to come and go as you wish."

"Lovely to meet you, Erdikan." Sequence said brightly. "Come, sit! Tell me about yourself!" Sequence gestured to a sofa  with a coffee table in front of it, and a wooden rocking chair on the other side... She seemed to be very fond of this particular furniture arrangement, as there were lots of them scattered about the large porch. What seemed to be duplicates of Sequence sat and stood talking to some other guests, and soft a soft, unrecognizable orchestral arrangement played softly from a rather old looking gramophone.
