Moni deflected the lightning with Endings, reaching into her pack desperately. I need a parachute! She thought frantically. Instead, her hand came out with a… horseshoe? She stared at it in confusion for a brief moment, then hit the ground at terminal velocity.

In a cascade of off-tune music, bacon-flavored sprinkles, and cupcake-wielding breadmunks, Bacon appeared.

"Greetings, random citizen!" he announced. "How would you rate that summoning?"

A wild Bacon appears!

"I shall ask at once," said Selppaenip, relieved. 

He knocked on the door, hoping to communicate his request to the wardens.

"Hardly nothing!" declared Selppaenip. "You have recruited me to the cause, after all!"

 Maybe… but I was thinking more about peaceful improvements. Energy generation - I feel like there are so many things the general populace needs and doesn’t have.

Kion smiles back, spending a second a bit mushy feeling before realizing their train might leave without them. “Shall we go, my lady?” he asks with an elaborate bow, going for an over-the-top middle age etiquette voice. He’s from much later, technologically, and he’s heard enough about his world’s equivalent to make fun of it a bit. 
Rebus grumbles about period accuracy and horrible plagues, rambles about societal effects of magic and deconstructions, comments on how medieval paintings of cats are hilariously awful, notes that some styles - such as the futuristic - look better in related backgrounds, complains that he doesn’t want to control the conductor because then he’d be stuck talking to himself, and otherwise conveys lots of information to watching Narrators without having to write actual dialogue. He then makes sure his orbiting train is airtight and in geosynchronous orbit above Antimatterland, because other countries on the antimatter planet are less accepting of people effectively made of explosives in their airspace.

Perseus ran over to the crash site, trying to see if she was alive. Above, a triumphant laugh sounded among the storm, and Atreides descended, hovering several feet off the ground triumphantly. "Moni." Perseus whispered. "Give me Endings."

Fortunately, there was at least one Narrator who really wanted her not dead. Her dead would mean that someone else would have Endings. So when she hit the ground, it was spongy and absorbed her velocity.

ya know, Hacob never left the farmstead...

Hacob stood behind Hidel, invisible, with his Narrationblade in the form of a hammer. He had it poised above Hidel's head, and was about to bring it down before Shoe and the others walked in. He turned himself visible - besides his arms and Narrationblade, he used an illusion to make his arms appear at his side, and his Narrationblade not visible at all - and nodded to Shoe.

Perseus nodded, and summoned his bow. "It's not Narration." he hurriedly explained. "I can store stuff in a pocket dimension and fetch it later." he said, as he nocked an arrow to his bow and fired.

Atreides, who had begun to explode the earth around Moni and Perseus, roared in pain as the arrow slammed into his ankle. He healed himself, and flew straight towards Perseus.

"How's that for a distraction?" muttered Perseus, pulling a sword and shield out.
