Asher shook their head trying to adjust to it. "Eg hati, at tað er óhugnaligt." They said with a huff.  They looked at dint again eyes almost analyzing him as if he were an object. oi They said he'd be fine kid leave it. I'm just worried, ok.

Dint was oblivious. He and Pyk walked over to the disputing people. Pyk’s face seemed to get grimmer and grimmer the more he heard from the survivors.

1 hour ago, Ookla the Bacon said:

Charles tapped his forehead. Can you help people with that poison inside of you?

Bacon refused the sword's refusal! He was hit by a pen shaped like a sword.

Bacon reduced the damage by omega squared.

Tenth shrugged, and hesitated.  Maybe? I don’t really know what it is… if I could study it… perhaps…

Okay . . . then why didn't you leave?

She nodded, a faint blush creeping into her face. “Yeah. He’s great.”

Tam grinned.

"So, did he tell you about his idea yet? I haven't been paying attention to you two for most of the past day."

"Oh," she added. "And if you see some weird cleric, ignore him."

Cause I didn't think Shoe and Beotsa would want me with them.

"Oh! Nothing then. Nevermind. And I already saw him. I think he's gone now-" she looked around, "-but I can't be completely sure."

Shoe thought the phrasing of that sentence didn't make much sense, since Hacob was talking to him.

Fair enough. Thanks.

She sighed. "You can't say something like that and not tell me. I'm a nosy woman, Tam."

oh, I thought it was Tam, cause Shoe doesn't have the capability to open a mental link with Hacob, while Tam theoretically could.

Hacob closed the mental link, making sure nobody could hear his thoughts. Besides. I have my reasons

Livetha's there and she can connect Shoe and Hacob

yes, but there was nothing from you saying that she did (that I saw), so it caught me off guard. If he's actively trying to prevent it, she couldn't, which he is now. Also, am I misremembering? I swear Beotsa's instructor made Livetha not a Narrator.

Oh yeah

I mean Hacob would hear his thoughts anyway

I kinda just assumed that he could talk to Shoe 'cus he wanted to; being a Narrator and all.

"Mm . . . maybe. If I do though, Shoe might be a little mad at me when he gets back."

Livetha's not a Narrator, it's just that every bond has a tendency to develop a certain aptitude and Livetha's is connection, thoughts, memories, mental stuff.

and yeah I wasn't paying attention very well 😅

"But he might..."

She frowned. "Right. Nevermind. I'll just go build a sandcastle, then." She didn't want to make him upset like when she'd gotten him drunk. Curious or not, it was still his business.

he can hear them if he tries, and he can talk to shoe, I was just surprised by the italics.

Oh she's a nice stoat! She turns it off whenever she senses somebody wanting to.

Tam looked thoughtfully at the ground. "I mean, it'd only be because he wants to tell you himself, so . . . hmm."

Then she turned into a small blue crab and followed Beosta along the beach.

*GASP*

TAM FOLLOWED TAM?? THATS SO DEEP

Beosta was so very incredibly tempted to ask for details, but she made a sandcastle for the small blue crab instead.

shush

Tam skittered into the castle and cut out a small window with one of her claws.

"Perfect!" she said cheerfully.

Gaioh, who was leaning against a tree and watching random things, started coughing hard again.

"Not exactly. I could make him have a sickness, but if it's something specific I can't know what it is. Not right off the bat, at least. Speaking of Bat . . ."

The squirrel from earlier had fallen asleep on Bat's head, and was now beginning to wake up again.

Bat had been dealing with it as well as he could.

"Great," he muttered.

Beosta grinned wickedly. She didn't know where the squirrel came from, but she approved of it.
