There could be a Mary Sue Plotblade and I don't think anyone's in possession of Exposition

Subversion smiled at Nogard, feeling a blush spread across her face. "Thanks." She glanced at the dancers all around them. "So, uh, did you want to...?" She offered Nogard her other hand, blush deepening.

"I'd love to go on an adventure like that sometime!" grinning, Unintelligible took a sip of tea. "And I think you're selling yourself short. Navigating Onyx's realm is no small feat, and besides, you found time to organize this party!"

Moni nodded, but remained on guard. "What do you want to know?"

Okay!

Tam? Are you okay?

Tam shrugged. "That's not what I'd been expecting . . . I had a lot of theories, but that was never one of them," she said.

I'm so sorry! I never meant to hurt you-! I would take it all back in a heartbeat if I could, please don't be angry with me-

"Shoe," she interrupted, "I'm not mad about that."

He blinked. You . . . aren't?

"Of course not!" She took his hands in her own. "I understand that accidents happen; I'm still . . . really sad and a little disturbed by it, or course, but I'm not by any means angry at you."

He let out relieved breath. Oh, thank goodness.

"I'm just . . . confused." She got onto her knees and pulled him into a hug. "Why didn't you tell me?"

He shrugged, hugging her back.

"Don't you trust me?"

Of course I trust you, Tam, the words came tumbling out, But I felt so guilty . . . and I was scared you'd be angry with me. I wanted to tell you, I swear, but it's not easy to admit to someone you love that you're responsible for their past decade of misery.

I'm sorry, but . . . I hadn't seen you in ten years, Tam. I just . . . I didn't want to lose my little sister again . . . he squeezed his eyes shut.

They sat there for a minute, then Tam sighed. "It's okay, Shoe. I forgive you."

Tears began to well up in Shoe's eyes. Thank you. That means so much to me.

She sniffled. "I love you, Shoe."

I love you too, Tam.

She stood and helped him to his feet. They laughed at each others' expressions, and Shoe tearfully hugged her again, smiling.

Aaaaaaaand be back later

I'm still not a good writer but I hope that was okay ^_^

Shoe and Tam talked for a few minutes more in the secluded room. About life, about things back home, and how everything was so different now. They both regretted the time that they'd lost, but agreed that they'd grown from it.

Tam sneakily tried to get Shoe to talk about Beosta, but he kept changing the subject, which she thought was absolutely adorable. She didn't tell him that, of course.

After a bit, Shoe stood. Well, we should probably head back, don't you think?

Tam nodded and stood also, offering a hand to help Cricket up.

@TwinStorm is there anything Cricket wants to say before they go back out?

Beosta was at the bar, hunched over her soda and cultivating an air of mystery. The image was rather spoiled by Livetha being in her hair.

@TwinStorm isn’t gonna come cuz he’s a SCUD. He can give his last words later for NOT BEING ON. 😠

y'all need to chill out. so I was off for a couple of hours, big deal!

Cricket walked over to Tam. "Hey. What you said to Shoe earlier, was... really sweet."

She felt all warm and fuzzy again. Without being invited, a part of her mind wondered if his lips were actually that soft or if she’d imagined it. It also wondered how he’d react if she kissed him without being drunk.

She took a long drunk of bourbon.

Hah!

Okay- he pushed the hand holding the glass down to the bar top, I don't care if you say you can't get drunk, you should probably stop.

She appeared in the middle of the room with Shoe, Beosta, and Bacon.

she looked up at them. ¨Hey guys. didja miss me?¨

@Through The Living Glass @Through the Living Feather

Oh . . . hey, Salem.

He felt disappointed that he and Beosta had been interrupted.

¨Oh... I  see.¨

she grinned devilishly

¨Sorry for interupting an.... intimate moment.¨

Salem walked out, but sent a peice of her shadow to sit on Beosta´s shoulder and meddle.

the shadow whispered,

¨KISS HIM!!!! YOUR IN LOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! i mean, some of us dont have that opportunity, being possesed by a ghost every once and a while.¨

Shoe blushed.

She glared at him when he touched her drink and reached for her cherry cola.

She tried to think of something to say, but nothing came to mind.

She thought through the logic of that sentence. "Sorry for not being close with her, not sorry for having a sister . . . you know what I mean."

Don't worry asher, I will always be by your side to help you. Asher put their hand on their head and took a small step backwards. he's right. No body will want me. everybody will leave. He has been there through it all. Everything since I died he was there. ashers light went black this time it didn't switch back. yes indeed my friend. And unless these people who are called Narrators can just make you stop or somethinghintthen you won't have an issue right? No worries here now kill them all.

"Oh for crying out loud. Do you want Sequence to rip you out of Asher's brain?"

Cade paused as if contemplating. For the love, my dear asher don't listen to that rat. You have people who care about you, so what if your father was a dud or if a few people left. leave seraphina. Your useless here so go. And as for Bacon I can't tell if you are being serious. But it's to late for you, see once the lights goes black it means I won. And if I won then asher just does what I want. And if I wanna burn and kill with their magic fire then they do so. ashers hands ever so slightly got a small blue almost invisible flame on them. shoot shoot shoot. Asher listen snap out of it. Snap out. Bacon do something. Anything. Just something unexpected that will make them snap out. Gah curse their high pain intolerance. This may be hard due to that.

Joke's on you; I can't get drunk on soda.

He drank the rest of it for emphasis.
