"Does nobody care that my homeland is trapped in time?" yelled Erif.

The inspector sighed, eye-crystals dimming. "I... am sorry, Erif. I have tried. I do not think there is a way to get them back. Not within my power."

"Fancy," admired Bacon.

Bacon followed after. "Does this mean you're going to help us now?"

The thing about TLT adaptations that nobody talks about is just how much TLT stuff there is that *isn't* on TLT.

For instance, to fully appreciate most of the Tom Joebob plots you sort of have to understand Fallen lore, which has undergone more evolution than the domestic chicken, most of which was discussed entirely in private.

Bottom line is that you'd probably just have to skip that part :P Same goes for a lot of the early plot stuff, really.

Ista calms Erif, and looks around. “What is the nature of this problem?”

(I would not mind starting with the plotblades (cuz that’s the only plot I’ve been there for [*blinks in fraction of a fraction of plot*])

Hey, the nice thing about adapting a plot that never got finished is that you can finish it if you want to.

Nowhere. A place on the edge of existience. A suitable prison. At least, suitable for the events that would take place.

Falvan stood in the middle of a circle. In the same circle were Arranis and the Once-Author.

"My friends, today you will deliver to me what I have always been destined to have. Power."

Falvan took a step closer. He was holding his strange twisted metal weapon in one hand. It had been crafted by the Dreamsmith. A creator of legendary skill. The weapon's power was of a strange but very unique nature. It was tied directly to Falvan. In his other hand, Falvan held a sheathed sword. It was an ancient relic, and recently held the fiend, practically immortal and destruction bent being of Desolation. It's name was Demolition.

"Today, you die."

Falvan stepped out of the circle. The adege of it immidiatly began to glow blue. Falvan out Demolition on his side and took out a strange device. It was similar to a long, silver knife with a green tint that vibrated off the surface as it moved.

"Today, I am reborn."

"Uh," said Nogard, somewhat alarmed. He glanced at the OA, a panicked expression on his face. "What did we just walk into?" he mouthed.

"No idea." The OA mouths back.

"Favlan, don't do something you regret... I'm more powerful than you think." He says it with confidence, but inside something in him shook. That weapon... it didn't seem natural. He prepared to summon his authorblade.

Nogard would have responded to this (he was usually very good at welcoming new characters) but he was too distracted by whatever it was going on in front of him.

"Allow me to explain," said the inspector. "Many years ago, I decided to make a world of my own. It would be a place of sanctuary from the chaos of the multiverse, free from the meddling of..." he glanced at Erif. "...certain powerful entities. I invited several individuals to help me create it, and it was wonderful! We created new places, new people, new systems of magic... it was wonderful!" His eye-crystals brightened with the recollection. Then they dimmed.

"But it didn't stay that way forever. You see, the world was built upon Onyx's power- but shortly after its inception, Onyx began to grow... distant. More distant than usual, even. And then, one day, without warning, time simply... stopped working."

"Excellent!" exclaimed Bacon. "So what's the plan?"

The group stood on a stone platform in the middle of a desolate wasteland. For as far as the eye could see, everything was just... dead.

Welcome to Onyx's realm :P

A woman flickered into being. Her hair was long, and blew around her face as though in a wind. But there was no wind.

Welcome, traveler, she spoke. What brings you to this land?

Sequence sighed and waved her hand dismissively. "I'll figure it out. I'd prefer to intervene as little as possible. Such is the nature of the 'experiment'."

Sequence laughed a bit. "Negative height? That's an accomplishment in of it's own, in one way or another!"

She then thought for a moment. "Stories... Stories... Well, yes. It is technically a whole world... While the number is currently dropping, the population of that valley is near four-million people. There's activism groups for stopping the war in both nations, which I particularly like to watch. There's lots of espionage and science as well, which that's always intriguing. I'm very impressed with how advanced each side has become, actually. I very much hope they don't eradicate one another..."

it is fun, and I've already used it multiple times in life, it's just that it can be a hassle sometimes

"Kilometers... Kilometers Hundredlives? Or... What was his last name? But yes, I do remember him." Sequence frowned.
"Vaguely." She sighed. "And I suppose you're right. I'll give them a bit more time. There is some slight hope. They've been holding intermittent peace conferences for the past few years. The rate at which people are dying has been dipping down recently."
