The swing hits Nerdy solidly in the jaw. They collapse to the ground and disintegrate into smoke.

The volcano begins rumbling and Nerdy bursts out again in a burst of lava, landing with one fist on the ground. As they land, a total of six duplicates form around the Once-Author.

"You weren't the only one holding back."

The Once-Author nods. "Fancy." He waves a hand and the volcano fades away, leaving them in the vacuum of space, drifting around a small, house sized black hold. He holds his blade at the ready, on the defensive, ready for Nerdy's attack.

I've never actually battled in an RP. This is fun!

I've never actually battled in an RP. This is fun!

I know, right! It's even better here, since it's literally just "Who can come up with the coolest attack/respond in the coolest way."

"Ender's game, eh? I'm here for it."

With a flick of their wrist, Nerdy dismissed their Plotblade and Narrated a sci-fi blaster into their hand. They took a few shots at the Once-Author, with one shot coming from each duplicate.

The Once-Author waved a hand and the laser bolts were sucked into the black hole. "Never actually read Ender's game." He said. He waved his hands and the world was spaghettified as everything was sucked into the black hole.

First: Yeah, it's definitely super fun.

Second: Legitimately never read Ender's Game.

Third: Spaghettification is actually the word for what happens when you're being sucked into a black hole.

First: Ender's Game is pretty good, you should read it.

Second: I know what spagetification is .

"Wait, Really?" said Nerdy, all duplicates of whom were currently ignoring the laws of gravity. "You should. It's great." Nerdy snapped their fingers to dismiss the space setting and send everyone back to the arena.

The Once Author nods. "Never." Then he snaps his fingers, and an army appears behind him. He looks back. "Oops. Wrong thing." He snaps again, and the army disappears, and an orchestra appears. "DOUBLE TIME!" He shouts. "Figured we should have cool music." The Once-Author says. Then he pulls out a bow and arrow, and shoots an arrow made of prismite at Nerdy.

The arrow hits one of the Nerdy duplicates, which vanishes into a puff of purple, black, and yellow smoke. Each of the duplicates teleport at the Once-Author before making a strike, all to the time of the music.

The Once-Author, also following the music, ducks under all the blows but the last. It hits him in the side, and he explodes in a burst of light, then re-forms in the same spot. "Ouch." He says. He slashes out with his blade, which hits each of the duplicates. When it does, they transform into duplicates of him.

"That's two hits on you," says Nerdy as they teleport into the sky above the arena. The Plotblade of Drama and Nerdy's Narrationblade form in their hands, and they shoot down at the Once-Author like a meteor trailing fire.

The Once-Author holds up his authorblade, and uses it to block the blow.

No idea what that'd do. It's my authorblade, a plotblade, and a narrationblade

Does the andthennothing have something in it I'm not seeing... or is it just stylized?
