Everyone took a deep breath, closed their eyes, and poured a little bit of their power into it. A swirling mess of black mist and faint flickers of red lightning slowly accumulated in the orb. Everyone offered the orb to the Dreamsmith. “I think this may be of use.”

Maybe my memory’s wrong, but I thought it was. “I guess splitting it does decrease the durability, huh?” Subversion collapsed to the ground, both pieces of her Narrationblade disappearing. “Well, I’ll admit it. I’m totally exhausted. I could keep fighting, but I don’t think I could win.” She lay back on the ground, reaching a hand into a pocket she knew would be empty. “And since it looks like there are Darkness-related things to deal with, I’ll won’t draw this…” She blinked, pulling a dull metal sphere from her pocket. “Is this some kind of joke? I haven’t seen this thing since I fought Desolation! Why did it just reappear now?”
