The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

"Sure. As long as you don't turn evil on me or anything." The brave adventurer starts walking down the street towards the edge of the village. "Two heroes are better than one, after all."

“Haha- oh… you weren’t joking- I WONT- I’ll just be here… trying not to die.” He gives a slight depressing chuckle before following the Brave Adventurer. “I’m Second… that’s my name. What should I call you?”

The brave adventurer shrugs. "Just call me The. It's my first name, sort of."

"Okay . . nice to meet you The. My name is Second Adventurer." Scrambles to keep up with his stride, walking along side of him.

The brave adventurer peers down the path in front of him. "Good to meet you too. Do you have any idea how you got here?"

He shakes his head. "I just remember waking up in these weird clothes with this weird stuff and wandering for hours before I passed out." I take a step out onto the path in front of us. "I honestly don't-" I scream when my boot is pulled up by a simple rope trap. "GET IT OFF- GET IT OFF-" I scream upside down, probably attracting way too much attention to us.

The brave adventurer pulls a knife out from under his cloak and hands it up to Second. "Here. Cut yourself down."

Second cuts the rope up on his leg and it drops him. He screams as he hits the ground on his back. He clearly is a very skittish person.

The brave adventurer helps Second back to his feet. "Well, that could have been worse."

He chuckles. "Well yeah- I guess so."

"Indeed." The brave adventurer gestures to the side. "You could have stepped onto that tripwire over there that's linked to an arrow trap," he gestures to something behind him "or fallen into that pit of spikes over there."

“Yep! You need to always keep an eye out in this line of work.” The First Adventure says, right before stepping on leaf covered spike that goes through their foot

Second screams. Again. And his eyes almost roll into the back of his head but he snaps himself out of it. “AH!”
