Just now, Szeth_Pancakes said:

“We don’t just have to wish. The plot is in our hands. We can do with it what we wish.”

Everyone laughed. "Not me, I'm not even a Narrator." They paused for a moment, thinking. "I suppose I could always... kill one, and steal its power..."

“Then kill me.”

Everyone gave Szeth an odd look. "Well, I'd have to figure out how to kill you first while preserving your power. Onyx did it to Sequence once upon a time so I'm sure it's doable."

Fuzzy kicked Everyone in the shin. They looked down at her with a scowl. "This one is not to be trusted with Narrative energy. They have enough power as is." Fuzzy said, giving Everyone a dirty look.

Subversion looked up at the Plotblades. "Cool replicas. Where'd you get them? I haven't been able to find convincing models like that for my secret lair."

"We could probably bring him back right now. We have most, if not all, the Blades, except mine, which I have. His power is concentrated in those Blades on the table. Most of the power in Vengeance was already there, so it wouldn't be absorbed. He'd use it after. Do you think we should? Or do you think that the thing is Plot-related. I'm newer, I'll defer to your wisdom."

Platypus pulled out a jug of Root and drank some.

"Okay."

Once the ally had finished with the outer planets, the inspector looked up from his work and nodded. "Good."

"Why'd you tell him?" Platypus complained. "I made them myself. I've been around most of them enough to know what they look like."

"What, you wanted to pretend they were real? Surely some Plotblade owner would have come here if that were the case."

"No, I've finished those- all except for one." He gestured to a particular rocky planet that looked suspiciously blue. "It has... more unique requirements. Here. Let's go to the surface, and I'll show you."

Subversion nods. "Agreed. Well, some of them might die if they feel like it, but that doesn't really make their deaths meaningful, now does it?"

The brave adventurer looks at the blade of Character with a gaze that is slightly fearful. "I suppose you might be able to pull something like that off. Make someone a terrible character, and whatnot."

"Hmmm..." Spook tilted his head, "I... I just thought of something... I don't know if I should try it. I'm going to go experiment. Farewell!" Spook disappeared in a burst of... of narration?

Thaidakar nodded as Spook left, "Spook... he is an interesting lad, that one. Can't believe he's mine."

"I did. Do you want any realistic Plotblades for you lair though?"

"Oh, that'd be amazing, thanks. Do you know how hard it is to plot when you have to make do with an illusion of the thing you're plotting about?"

"Yeah. Back when I was plotting your downfall I couldn't focus because I had no physical copy. I ended up carving a statue of you using Narration and theorizing a bunch of different ways to defeat you. Anyway, I can probably have them done in one or two days. Depends on what happens with the fight. If I die or don't get back to you within a week, feel free to take these ones."

The brave adventurer gestures towards the gathered Plotblade replicas. "Spook saw some evil thing in a temple of Plot, and we're trying to figure out how to stop it."

The pair fell to the surface of the planet. As far as worlds go, it was a pretty barren one. The air was breathable, and the temperature was just right to support liquid water, but there was nothing alive anywhere. Just an endless expanse of rock in one direction and an endless expanse of water in the other.

"I say we blow it up." Everyone said. "Explosions are very effective."

"So what are we going to do up here? Or down here. Whatever direction this is."

Bookwyrm sighed, then turned to the brave adventurer.

"Do you know if that has anything to do with Vengance?" Bookwyrm gestured towards Rym's Plotblade.
