The Bookwyrm he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 "Thank you." Rym walked over to the hovering sphere. He took out a notebook and wrote something down. He seemed....strangely unurgent about the situation, though he was obviously wary of the sphere. He put the notebook away and turned to Calano. "My name is Rym," he said. "You can consider me...a gatherer of information. Can you tell me where this sphere came from?"
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Calano stared dumbfounded at Rym, very confused. He pointed at the jumble of metal parts on the workbench. "That used to be an engine, until it fell apart and birthed the sphere. At first it was golden, but one of the Crolings tried to peck it and it got... agitated?"
NameIess Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Yet another knock came at the door, this time loud and abrasive.
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Calano ignored it. He didn't want to be bugged yet a third time.
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Calano turned and opened the door. "What?" He asked angrily.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 A knocking begins on the other door as well.
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 "Why is everyone coming to my house!??!!?"
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 "You're house is Ta'veren." Whispers the wind.
NameIess Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The door began shaking from the force of the knocking.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The other door crackles with lightning and large booms eminate from the other side.
Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Suddenly, an army of sentient cookies took over the ghanderflaffle empire.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Darkstalker unleashed Noot and his entire race on the cookies, it was a feast.
NameIess Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The cookies had never eaten such a grand meal.

Slowly, the sphere's angry hissing/static noise died down and it's color faded back to its original comforting gold hue. It began to drift around, it's form distorting ever so slightly whenever it came into contact with something.

The sphere stopped where it was. It stood in place for a moment, before drifting a bit closer to Calano. It made a small squeaky-buzzing noise and drifted over to Rym. It made the same noise, then drifted back over to Calano's workbench, continuing to... explore?
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Calano watched in amused curiosity as the orb buzzed and squeaked, floating around. "Can you.. Can you hear me?"

Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Calano flinched, then answered the door.
NameIess Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 A very angry man stood outside, face grim. "One of your beasts killed my horse."
Going_North_cal Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 "Sir, I think you have the wrong guy." Calano began to shut the door.
NameIess Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The man stuck his arm out, holding the door open. "No, I don't. One of your demonic creatures killed my horse, and I have proof."
