"Being petrified is rarely fun." Nin's apprentice turned to look around at the group's surroundings, which appeared to be some sort of cell. Another speaker crackled to life. "So, Mythos. Why are you really here?"

Mythos smiled, "well, I am here because of the prophesy."

Impossible blinked and turned to Mythos, "what?!"

"The prophecy? How interesting. What are you planning on stealing from Nameless?"

Calano landed right after Lana, and contracted his wings behind his back.

Closer. Closer than before. She is close. The Mother is close.

"They're muttering she's close. The feathers, I mean."

"Huh," said Lana. "So The Mother is my sister? Not me?" Lana walked to the shore of the lake. "So she's here, she'd be close. Maybe around in the forest over there, or maybe she found a way to go under the whirlpool? She was always obsessed with that thing."

"I guess she's The Mother," Calano said, shrugging, "But we should split up and search. Who's better underwater?"

Rym was also curious about the prophecy. He was still quite confused about it.

Bookwyrm remarked from wherever he was that TLT was entering another rare era where there was a coherent plot.

We should try to combine the two story threads at one point.

(Did I already say that?)

Pretty much everyone important agreed with nobody important, but no one knew the whole prophecy.

Except Eof, and the non intervening guy.

"The show, of course. But besides that... depends, will you try and stop us?"

"Of course I'll try and stop you. It's my job, isn't it? Besides that, I have way too many buttons, and I'm eager to find out what they do."

Mythos fingered a button on his jacket then said, "what if your job was to help me? I could hire you for more than Nameless is paying you."

It was at that moment that Thaidakar finally decided who his heir was.

"Hah! That would be pretty tough, considering Nameless is a Narrator. Besides, I don't really care about money. Impossible can attest to that."

Impossible nodded, "he's right"

Mythos sighed, then smiled, "what if I offered you a mordite sword?"

it was, in fact, Mythos.

Upon hearing these words, Sequence appeared. “Do you really have to leave?” She asked. “Couldn't you just send a clone of yourself to the past to make sure the space-time continuum doesn’t have a stroke?”
