NameIess Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 This was a mistake, but he didn't know that yet.
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Rym dug up several interesting artifacts, including...
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The largest lemon anyone had ever seen, a long neon pink baseball bat, and, for some reason, a big green bird.
The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) Ghanderflaffle, Gandalf's brother came to help him. I asked an IRL friend what he thought a ghanderflaffle was. Edited August 17, 2022 by The Wandering Wizard
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 what did he say @The Wandering Wizard And they sparkled with animosity towards red polo shirts.
NameIess Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Which both Rym and Ghanderflaffle happened to be wearing.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Calano smirked at them, as the living artifacts growled at Rym and Ghanderflaffle.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Rym was overpowered, but Ghanderflaffle somehow was able to defend themselves for a short time.
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Rym managed to safely get his notebook in a magical backpack that he had, so that no damage was done to it. He was then carried away by the Largest Lemon.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The Green Gobird and Pink Pelter trekked behind the Largest Lemon, chanting "Rooa! Rooa! Rooa!"
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Rym found this very interesting and made note of it in his notebook.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Calano smiled and took flight. He always loved when it stormed and rained. He loved the way the lightning danced in the clouds, and shimmered in reflections along his wings. He loved the way his wings shimmered and sliced through the wet, rain filled air. So he flew, gliding through the air, doing flips and tricks. His feathers turned a jubilant shade of blue and purple as he, (and they) laughed through the storm.
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The terrain shifted as Calano soared. Soon he was flying over the open sea, thunder laughing behind him. He passed over tropical islands, drowning in the open sea. The scents and sights intrigued and intoxicated him.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 And he laughed at it all, soaring into the sky, and down above the sea. His feathers shouted along with him.
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Another bird flew in from the west, away from the setting sun. This one had deep purple feathers and a majestic wingspan. It followed Calano, ascending in the air, twirling with triumph.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Calano watched the bird as it swept up, and grinned. He flapped his wings and dashed after it, grinning like a fool. There were very few birds who had deep purple feathers, and no bird could instinctually twirl like that. It had to be a humanoid shapeshifter. Someone like him. With wings. A friend.
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The new bird swirled in the air, flying up into the clouds. It looked back at Calano with an beckoning expression, then dove into a cloud with a puff. It emerged, then somersaulted towards the sea.
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Calano chuckled. A challenge. Good. He dove through the cloud with a shout, contracted his wings, and dove towards the deep purple speck near the sea.
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) The purple bird continued to dive headfirst, defiantly refusing to pull the throttle up right itself. As it gained speed, it grinned, exhilarated. This was what life was. This is what it meant to be free Edited August 17, 2022 by Shining Silhouette
Going_North_cal Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Calano's feathers muttered about the approaching sea, which was getting closer and closer. But Calano wasn't about to admit defeat just yet. He grinned, and used his Windshear ability, scuplting the air around him to fall even faster, catching up with the bird, which he now realized had strikingly familiar plumage. That color... that was... Lana's hair, wasn't it? Yes, that was it. It was the exact same shade. But Lana hated him, so it couldn't have been her. Eh. He dove after the bird, laughing.
Shining Silhouette he/him Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 The purple bird gasped as it noticed Calano fall beside it. Incredible. Just as it turned to look towards him, the bird hit the water headfirst and began to sink.
